She described a building in Berkeley which provided a deli, meat <br />market, a sandwich place, and a separate restaurant for evening dining. <br /> <br />Commissioner Maas voiced her agreement with Commissioner Roberts' comments. <br /> <br />Chairperson Sullivan advised that he also agrees. He noted that he appreciates the applicant's <br />efforts with the Green Building component. He advised that he is concerned with the comment <br />in the traffic report regarding the unacceptable levels of service projected for intersections during <br />the peak hour whether or not the proposed project is developed and the conclusion that the <br />proposed project is not considered to significantly impact the local roadway system. Chairperson <br />Sullivan stated that he has a problem with this rationale. <br /> <br />Commissioner Arkin moved that Case PUD-81-30-34D be denied and that the Planning <br />Commission initiate a process to reevaluate the use of the land on this site. The proposed addition <br />would be located on the southern (Spring Street) side of the existing building.
