Reconsideration of the Planning Commission's recommendation for PUD-88-16-2M,
Richard and Tracy Lu.

Commissioner Maas stated that she would like the Planning Commission to reconsider this item
and bring it back for further discussion. She stated that she has a real concern about the
precedent the Planning Commission may have set, especially with all of the work they have done
with the West Foothill Road Overlay District and their feelings in general about open fencing.
Commissioner Roberts stated that she was also unhappy about the Commission's action on this
item. Commissioner Maas stated that she feels they could be clearer about the fencing for this
development. Chairperson Sullivan noted that he is sensitive to solid wood fencing along
Foothill Road.

Commissioner Maas moved to reconsider the Planning Commission's action on
PUD-88-16-2M, Richard and Tracy Lu. Chairperson Sullivan seconded the motion.

Commissioner Arkin stated that he will not support the motion because he cannot imagine a
solution any different from that previously determined.

ROLL CALL VOTE

('

AYES:
NOES:
ABSENT:
ABSTAIN:

Commissioners Maas, Roberts, and Sullivan
Commissioner Arkin
Commissioner Kameny
None

The motion carried.

Commissioner Maas voiced concern about the large homes being constructed in the Downtown
area as remodels of existing homes.
