The consultant will <br /> assist City staff in all aspects of the task force process and will attend all task Sample Time for Community <br /> force meetings as desired by City staff. Tasks for each task force meeting could Workshop <br /> include: (1) pre- meeting planning and preparation of materials (agenda, <br /> handouts, presentation materials, displays); (2) conduct of the meeting; Preparation Time 25.0 Hours <br /> and (3) preparation of post- meeting summaries. Opportunity for public Meeting Time 7.0 Hours <br /> participation at task force meetings would be provided. Post Meeting Time: 8.0 Hours <br /> Several approaches could be used for the task force meetings. We have found <br /> a tour and debriefing to be an effective way to identify items of concern, <br /> opportunities, and a common appreciation of potential strategies. Conducting <br /> a visioning session could be another means to develop a "bigger picture" <br /> framework for evaluating choices. On some projects we have worked with staff <br /> to identify "partner groups" and have prepared "outreach kits" for task force <br /> members to use when they meet with identified stakeholders (their designated <br /> partners) in the community. <br /> Task 3 <br /> Assess Regional Housing Needs Carryover and Identify <br /> Housing Element Legal Requirements <br /> The Consultant will review and evaluate recent changes to State law that <br /> involve the requirements for the housing element. This task will involve <br /> coordination with ABAG and HCD Staff as necessary in regard to the <br /> potential carryover of units from the previous RHNA cycle, including the <br /> Windstar development, and preparation of a Consultant summary of Housing <br /> Element legal requirements. Staff and the Consultant will strategize on <br /> approaches to meet Housing Element Legal Requirements. <br /> Part 2 — Work Tasks 8 <br />
