City of Pleasanton, Engineering Services 4291.105.201 <br /> Laurel Creek Estates GHAD, Pleasanton, California February 25, 2010 <br /> PROPOSAL FOR GEOLOGIC HAZARD ABATEMENT DISTRICT Page 2 <br /> GHAD MONITORING <br /> We will also review areas of potential slope instability that were documented in earlier geotechnical <br /> studies and that are located adjacent to existing improvements. <br /> We propose to conduct two regularly scheduled monitoring events and submit a monitoring <br /> report for each event. As requested, the term of this proposal covers the 5 -year period from 2010 <br /> through 2014. We propose to perform the services outlined above for a fee of $2,500 per event <br /> for the first two years (2010 and 2011) and $2,600 per event for remaining three years (2012, <br /> 2013 and 2014). For the 5 -year period, the fee would be $25,600. Note that ENGEO has been <br /> performing site reconnaissance at Laurel Creek Estates since 2001, and the fees for our services <br /> have been fixed since 2005. <br /> As requested, we will conduct additional inspection events on an as- needed basis as defined by <br /> the Plan of Control (e.g. within five days of whenever rainfall exceeds 2 inches in a 24 -hour period <br /> as reported by local monitoring stations) for a fixed fee of $1,800 per event, including the <br /> summary report. The fees for heavy rainfall events are not included in the fee estimate for <br /> scheduled monitoring activities listed above. <br /> If you are in agreement with the scope of services and fee, please issue a task authorization letter <br /> as our formal authorization to proceed with the above services. <br /> We are pleased to be of continued service to you on this project.
