He was advised by <br /> their representative, Annemarie Parrish, that Spectrum has seen a change in the ages of the <br /> seniors being served. Spectrum is trying to do some outreach and collaborate with the Senior <br /> Center in order to reach more seniors. To date, 240 seniors are registered for this program. <br /> Ms. Parrish further discussed with Commissioner Nagler the support that Spectrum receives <br /> from other cities and its fundraising efforts. She advised that the $21,990 funding request was <br /> for salaries for the site coordinator and meal coordinator. <br /> Ms. Yurchak confirmed that Spectrum is trying to increase the number of seniors participating in <br /> the program and that the City is collaborating with the agency in that effort. <br /> Ms. Parrish advised that 68% of the seniors receiving the congregate meals are over 75 years of <br /> age. Spectrum is also working with Paratransit on ways to get seniors to attend the meal <br /> program.
