Did you find participation in Youth in Government Day assisted in your
understanding of governance issues in the city and school district?
49 Yes 1 No
2. What did you like about Youth in Government Day?
Job shadowing.
Fascinating to find out about the finance and economic planning aspects
of Pleasanton.
I have a broad understanding of how our city works.
Great program for high schoolers. It would be greater /better if it wasn't
just government jobs, but I know how complicated a program like that can
get.
Very enjoyable; learned a lot.
I enjoyed getting advice from those I job shadowed.
Allen Hammond gave me a great perspective on workings of the city
government. He emphasized the importance of computers in the city and
that the IT department should continue to make Pleasanton as
technologically sophisticated as possible.
I enjoyed it and learned a lot.
It was good to hear about all the issues and what the city is doing about
them.
I'm interested in coming back next year.
The landscaper from Parks and Rec with the awesome pastel tie with the
Japanese lettering was really awesome I'd like it a lot if he returned for
future YIG days.
Julie Duncan was very enthusiastic and dynamic! The transportation was
well supplied. It felt like we did a lot in a short amount of time.
Everyone did such a wonderful job!
The people we job shadowed were great and gave great advice.
