1101 <br />Town Clerk : -- Showing that he had delivered to the Iuiarshal 4 licenses for collection <br />and amounting to $56.00, and 438 water bills amounting to 1198.65. Report showed <br />that'the Treasurer had on hand at the time of last report X6136.33 and since then <br />the following collections have been made: Licenses from Marshal $ ?92.00; water <br />from marshal $935.70; Milk Inspection fees 030.35; Recorder's Court fees $30.00; <br />From Town Clerk: Personal Property Taxes �M.36 Share of Solvent Credits and <br />Intangible Assets received from Alameda County X31.95, making a total of $7273.69 <br />less amount-of warrants issued September 4, 1934, 1406.61, leaving a cash balance <br />in the hands of the Treasurer of `5867.08. This was divided as follows: <br />General Fund $5007.93; Water Bond Fund $333.62; City Hall Bond Fund $6.46; <br />1929 Municipal Improvement Bond :Fund §352.17; Municipal Improvement Bond Fund <br />$166.90. <br />Su erintendet of Streets: -- Showing that work on streets had amounted to '$83.25 <br />during the month of BepTember, 1934. <br />Town Marshal: -- Showing that he'had received water bills from the Clerk amounting <br />to `x+'1198.65; that he collected water bills amounting to $935.70, and that he <br />returned water bills amounting to $262.95. He also collected licneses amounting <br />to $92.00 as follows: 5 licenses @ $12.00-- X60.00; 2 licenses @ $16.00 --$32.00; <br />he also collected L'iilk Inspection Fees amounting to $30.35. <br />Treasurer: - `Showing that the Water Deposit r'und had $47.50 per last re ort, <br />and tha10.00 had been received during the month, making attotal of 57.50, <br />less $7.50 paid out, leaving $50.00 in the Special. Water Deposit Fund. Also <br />showing that he had cash on hand at last report of $6136.33 and since then <br />collections had amounted to $1137.36 and that payment of town warrants had amounted <br />to $1406.61, leaving a cash balance in the hands of the Treasurer of $5867.08. <br />City Judge : - -Shoo ing that $30.00 had been collected in fines during the month <br />of September, 1934. <br />Health Officer: -- Showing activities during the month of September, 1934. <br />Fire Chief: -- Report of activities of the Department for the month of September, 1934 <br />Building Inspector: -- Showing that four electrical permits had been granted during the math <br />and 8 building permits. <br />Milk Inspector: -- Showing report of Laboratory Analyses of Milk Samples for September, <br />1934. <br />The reports were referred to the finance committee for examination and report. <br />The following communications were received: <br />September 17th -- Spring Valley Company Ltd., with reference to the right -of -way <br />from St. Johns Street to what was formerly Kruse property and <br />advising that the lane concerned therein is still the property <br />.of the Spring Valley Company Ltd. <br />September 20th -- League of California Municipalities, with reference to the <br />November electioq and thq submission, o the people by the State <br />of California of$24,000,° °dollars reltle bond issue. <br />A <br />September 28th- -Henry A. Cook, relative to property damage and public liability <br />insurance expiring October 16th on the City Engineer's truck. <br />October lst-- Pleasanton Grove of .Druids expressing appreciation for the use of <br />McKinley Park on September 4th. <br />The Pleasanton Post of American Legion requested a permit of the ,Council <br />to conduct a dance at the Veterans' Memorial Building on Saturday evening, <br />October 27th. There being no objections, the permit was granted. The Clerk <br />presented two notifications from the State Board of Equalization with regards <br />to an "Off Sale Beer and Wine" license which had been issued S.A.Paskewitz, 409 <br />Main Street, and an "On Sale Beer and Wine ti license $o )V.tf.Doolan, Farmers <br />Hotel. There were no objections from the Council to these licenses being <br />issued and the Clerk was instructed to correspond with the State Board of <br />Equalization to that affect. <br />A recess .followed during which the finance committee examined Claims <br />No. 141 to 178 inclusive and amounting to $698.98, as well as the officers' <br />monthly reports. <br />Following the recess after which the meeting had been called to order <br />again, Councilman Rivolta, of the finance committee, reported that the committee <br />had approved Claims No. 141 -to 178 inclusive and amounting to 4698.98.. On his <br />motion, seconded by Councilman Madsen and with all Uouncilmen present voting <br />in favor of same, the claims were ordered paid. Councilman Rivolta then <br />reported that the finance committee had approved the officers monthly reports <br />and he made a motion that they be'placed on file. There being no objections <br />they were ordered filed. <br />
