1060 <br />These claims were referred to the finance committee for audit and report. <br />The Clerk then read the following reports of the municipal officers: <br />Water Department: -- Showing thatwater had been turned on at 4 places and off at <br />six. Put in new tap for Manuel Avilla on vineyard Avenue and repaired four <br />meters. Report showed that there were 402 taps in Town and 33 outside of town. <br />That there were 470 services in Town (On 436, Off 34) and 42 services outside <br />of town (On 40, Off 2) with a total number of servicesof 502. The, report showed <br />that the expenses were $280.26 and the income $760.60, and the total over and <br />above expenses were 0480.34. The report showed that the total hours pumping <br />at Pump No. 1, 974, hours total hours pumping at Pump.No. 2 - 8 hours. Total <br />gallons water pumped at bump #2, 200,000 gallons, and number of gallons. water <br />pumped at Pump #1, 2,802,800. <br />Towa Clerk: -- Shearing that he had delivered to the Marshal water bills amounting <br />to §1005.45, and 1 licenses amounting to $12.00. Report showed that the Treasurer <br />had on had at the time of last report $8483.61, and since then the following <br />collections have been made:,Licenses from Marshal 080.00; Taxes from Marshal <br />$482.05; Water from Marshal $746.95; Milk Inspection Fees, $30.30; Water deposits <br />from Town Engineer $5.00; dater from Alameda County $1.20; Recorder's Court $5.00; <br />From Town Clerk: Personal Property Taxes $38.60; Refund State Comps nsation <br />Fund $57.59; Dance, Permit 05.00; State of California on account of-taxes <br />collected $188.05, making a total of $10,72 3.35, less amount of sarrents <br />issued December 4, 19332,077.88, leaving a cash balance in the hands of the <br />Treasurer of $8 045.47. This was divided as follows: General Fund $4756.7.6; Town <br />Hall Bond Fund 9238.67; Water Bond Fund $786.92; Municipal Improvement Bond Fund <br />959.17; 1929 Municipal Improvement Bond Fund $1291.45; Water Deposit account <br />12.50. <br />Superintendent of Streets : -- Showing that work on streets had amounted to $112.50 <br />during the month bf December, 1933. <br />Town Marshal:9howing that he had received water bills from the C7e.rk amounting to <br />1005.45; that he collected water bills amounting to $746.95, akd that he had <br />returned water bills amounting to $258.50. He also collected licenses amounting <br />to $80.00 as follows: 4 licenses @ $12.00 -- $48.00; 2 licenses ® $16.00 -- 32.00. <br />He also collected milk inspection fees of 030.30, and taxes $482..05. <br />Treasurer: -- Showing that he had cash on hand at last report of $8483.61 and <br />since then collections had amounted to $1639.74, and that payment of town <br />warrants had amounted to $2077.88, leaving a cash balance of 08045.47. <br />City Judge: -- Showing that he -had collected a $5.00 fine during the month of <br />December, 1933. <br />Health Officer: -- Showing the activities during the month of December, 1933. <br />Fire Chief: -- Report of the activities of the Department for the month of <br />ec� ember, 1933. <br />Building Insoec for : -- Showing that one application for a building permit had been <br />filed during the month of December, 1933. <br />Milk Inspector.--Showing Report of Laboratory Analyses of Milk Samples Jb r the <br />month of December, 1933. <br />The reports were referred to the finance committee for examination and, <br />report. <br />The following communications were then read, by the Clerk: <br />December 16, 1933 -- League of California Municipalities with regards to the <br />activities of the Civil Works Administration Projects. <br />13, 1933 - -W. S. Darley & Co. regarding _regula tidza;. Fire coat and' <br />Slicker Hat sent to the City Council for approval. <br />28, 1933 - -State Board of Equalization with regards to Additional Liquor <br />License Applications. <br />29, 1933 -- Ashton Britten, with reference to his not being able to be <br />present at the Council, meeting. <br />January 1, 1934 - -- -Mrs. Bertha Cope Oneil advising the council that she had <br />l disconnected the sewer on the dope ranch. <br />
