C7 /-�- - c <br />May (r <br />51 <br />Pleasanton, California <br />June 9, 1947 <br />THE COUNCIL of the Town of Pleasanton met in adjourned regular <br />session at 8 :00 P.M. on the above date with Mayor Earl Trimingham <br />in the chat±. Roll call showed present: Councilmen Brenner, Oxsen, <br />Hansen and Mezza; absent, none. <br />MAYOR TRIMINGHAM explained that the meeting had been called for a <br />second reading of an ordinance AUTHORIZING AND CONSENTING TO THE <br />TRANSFER OF A PORTION OF BERNAL AVE., PLEASANTON AVE., ANGELA ST., <br />ROSE AVE. AND DIVISION ST. TO THE COUNTY OF ALATMZEDA AS COUNTY HIWAY. <br />The ordinance was read by the Clerk and on motion of Councilman Oxsen, <br />seconded by Councilman Mezza, it was adopted as Ordinance No. 200 by <br />the following vote: <br />Aye: Councilmen Brenner, Oxsen, Hansen, Mezza, <br />Trimingham <br />No.: None <br />Absent: None <br />APPROXIMATELY 20 residents of St. Marys and Division Sts. were <br />present at the meeting to protest granting permission to the Full <br />Gospel Conference of the World to have trailers on their property <br />between St. Marys and Division Sts. They also requested that the <br />holding of a convention here be stopped if possible and that some <br />means be found to control. objectionable noises created after 10 or <br />10:30 in the evening. Mayor Trimingham explained that no request <br />for a trailer court permit had been received and if one is received, <br />proper notice of a hearing will be given and all provisions of the <br />trailer court Ordinance will be strictly adhered to. He also ex- <br />plained that the Town has no Ordinances governing conventions and <br />accordingly can neither authorized nor prohibit such gatherings. He <br />stated that the Full Gospel Conference of the World, Inc. had been <br />advised of these conditions and that they had indicated that no <br />request for a trailer court permit would be made. The question of <br />controlling the noise at late hours was discussed, and Chief of <br />Police Delucchi advised that the District Attorney should be con- <br />sulted or that a complaint could be made to the District Attorney <br />who would issue a warrant if justified. The danger of fire from <br />dry grass and bon fires on the premises was also discussed, and the <br />Mayor advised that notice had been served to have the grass cleared. <br />COUNCILMEN OXSEN AND MEZZA reported on their investigation of road <br />oilers and on motion of Councilman Oxsen, seconded by. Councilman <br />Mezza and approved by all Councilmen the purchase of an Aerol #751 -P <br />Emulsion Sprayer at a cost of §800 F.O.B. San Francisco, was <br />authorized. <br />MAYOR TRIMTNGHAM suggested that the Council should be considering <br />what action to take on the proposed • improvements to the sewage <br />disposal plant. The Clerk was instructed to ask Mr. Ramseier to <br />be present at the next regular meeting with ,further information on <br />the cost of plans and possibilities of a Federal Loan. He was also <br />directed to ask Attorney Nilson to investigate terms,and conditions <br />of such a Federal loan. <br />COUNCILMAN MEZZA reported that the Maslow Cooperage Co. had agreed <br />to pay certain costs in connection with cleaning the Ray St. sewer. <br />He also reported that the S.P.R.R. "were ready to burn their lots. <br />The Clerk was instructed to write the S.P. and requested that they <br />
