46 <br />that leaks in the tank would`be repaired. Attorney Nilson explained <br />that the Maslow Cooperage Co. could be billed only for the cost of <br />cleaning the Ray Street sewer. It was agreed that Councilman Mezza <br />should contact the Maslow Co. and arrange for an equitable settle- <br />ment of the cleaning costs. <br />MAYOR TRIMINGHAM reported that a meeting had been held with water <br />users on the Sunol pipe line and that it was agreed that they would <br />pay pro -rata for all water lost from the line. <br />CHIEF OF POLICE DELUCCHI reported that if there were no ob jeotions,'- <br />1st Asst. Amaro would take his vacation starting June 1. <br />MAYOR TRIMINGHAM reported that he had received an informal complaint <br />about the noise from the Pull. Gospel Church at late hours. <br />ENGINEER SOBIELA reported that a Western Pacific Signal installation <br />crew had laid out locations for new signals to be installed at all <br />W.P.R.R. crossings in rleasanton. <br />COUNCILMAN MEZZA reported that Jack Pons had applied for the job of <br />Utilizty man in the Water and Sewer Dept. The Council agreed that he <br />should be hired. Councilman Mezza was authorized to make arrange- <br />ments for installation of the new 4" main in Pleasanton Ave. <br />MAYOR TRIMINGHAM was .granted permission to leave the State for ten <br />days starting May 18. <br />RESOLUTION NO. 1943 authorizing payment of salaries in the amount <br />of X2,093.00 for the month of April was adopted on motion of <br />Councilman Hansen, seconded by Councilman Mezza and approved by <br />all Councilmen present. <br />COUNCILMAN MEZZA was requested to contact Mr. Carter relative to the <br />possibility of procuring a County dump site. <br />THERE being no further business to come before the council, the <br />meeting was adjourned at 11 :40 Y :.M. to meet again in regular <br />adjourned session at 7:30 P.M. on May 9, 1947. <br />Mayo <br />Ple asan ton, California <br />May 9, 1947 <br />The Council of the Town of Pleasanton met in regular adjourned <br />session at 7:30 P.M. on the above date with Mayor Earl Trimingham <br />in the chair. Roll call showed present: Councilmen Oxsen and . <br />Hansen; absent: Councilmen Brenner and Mezza. <br />MAYOR TRIMINGHAM explained that the meeting had been called to <br />clarify the situation relative to reconstruction work being done at <br />the Thiessen property on Main Street. He stated that complaints <br />had been received that work was being done in violation of Town <br />ordinances and State Health laws, and called on Building inspector <br />Christesen to explain to the Council and to Mrs. Thiessen just what <br />had taken place and what was required by the Building Code. <br />BUILDILIG INSPECTOR CRRISTESEN stated that he had noticed work being <br />done wi thout a building permit about 3 weeks previously, and that . <br />when investigating he was run off the property by Mr. George <br />Jackson. He later returned with Mr. Wyatt from the State and Mr. <br />Davis from the County, and Mrs. Thiessen ran all three off the <br />property.
