DAVIS explained the reasons behind State Laws requiring sound <br />and sanitary construction. He also stated that the State Inspec- <br />tor had declared the building unfit for human habitation and <br />failure to vacate would make the owner liable to penalty. <br />FIRE CHIEF Amaral stated that he had not inspected the premises <br />since the fire as it was in such poor condition, at that time that <br />he had assumed no one would live there. <br />MR. DAVIS suggested that the contractors be questioned as to why <br />they were working without permits. <br />BUILDING INSPECTOR Christesen advised that he had ordered Herman <br />Kolin and Fritz Andresen to `stop work. <br />WILLIAM THIESSEN.stated that he hoped certain coming events would <br />straighten out the situation within the next 30 days. <br />IT WAS AGREED that the rebuilding could be done if proper permits <br />were procured and that no action be taken at present other than <br />to see that no further violations were committed. <br />THERE BEING no further business to come before the Council, the <br />.meeting was adjourned at 8 :20 P.M. to meet again in regular <br />session at 8 :00 P.M. on June 2, 1947. <br />Mayor <br />Clerk r.)11"11"47--"--- <br />Pleasanton, California <br />June 2, 1947 <br />The Council of the Town of Pleasanton met in regular.session at <br />8:00 P.M. on the'above date with Mayor Earl Trimingham in the. • <br />chair.
