18 <br />ENGINEER GEO. SOBIELA stated that all services on the Sunol Road <br />were now metered. He also advised of the necessity of a new concrete <br />drain pipe at the sewer farm. <br />RESOLUTION NO. 1919 authorizing payment of officers salaries for the • <br />month of August was adopted on motion of Councilman Oxsen, seconded <br />by Councilman Hansen and approved by all Councilmen present. <br />On motion of Councilman Brenner, seconded by Councilman Oxsen and <br />approved by all Councilmen present, the meeting was adjourned at <br />10:45 P.M. to meet again in adjourned regular session at 8:00 P.M. on <br />Tuesday, September 10, 1946. <br />Mayor <br />WA- <br />Clerk <br />■ <br />Pleasanton, California <br />.September 10, 1946 <br />The Council of the Town of Pleasanton met in adjourned regular ses- <br />sion at 8 :00 P.M. on the above date with Mayor Earl Trimingham in the <br />chair. Roll call showed present, Councilmen Brenner, Oxsen and Hansen; <br />absent, Councilman Mezza who was unable to attend due to working night- <br />shift. . <br />Mayor Trimingham announced that the meeting had been called to set the <br />tax rate for the year 1946 -47. <br />It wasndetermined that a tax rate of 41.20 would <br />revenue for the year and Resolution No. 1920 was <br />levy distributed as follows: <br />General Fund <br />Music and Promotion Fund <br />Library Fund <br />1910 Bond Fund <br />1929 Bond Fund <br />Total <br />provide sufficient <br />read to provide this <br />$ .81 <br />.06 <br />.10 <br />.08 <br />.15 <br />1.2O <br />This Resolution No. 1920 was adopted on motion of Councilman Hansen, <br />seconded by Councilman Brenner and approved by all Councilmen present,. <br />Resolution No. 1921 providing for salary changes for Town officers <br />and employees was adopted on motion of Councilman Hansen, seconded <br />by Councilman Brenner and approved by all Councilmen present. <br />Resolution No. 1922 authorizing an advertisement for bids to be open- <br />ed September 23rd for a new duip, truck for the Street Department, was <br />adopted on motion of Councilman L)xsen, seconded by Councilmen Brenner <br />and approved by all Councilmen present. <br />Proposed Ordinance No. 198 increasing water rates was not given a <br />second reading due to an erroneous item in the Pleasanton Times <br />which stated that the second reading would be at the next regular <br />meeting in October.. The Clerk wad directed to request the Times <br />to print a statement that the second reading would be at an adjourned <br />regular meeting to be held on September 23rd. <br />It was agreed that no fee would be collected for the dance to be <br />given by the Fire Department on September 14th. <br />A petition, accompanied by fees of 422.50, to allow dancing at Hap's <br />Place on the nights of September 13, 14 and 15 was introduced. The <br />petition was approved - with the stipulation that no further permits <br />be approved if any trouble developed - on motion of Councilman <br />Brenner, seconded by Councilman Oxsen and approved by all Council- <br />men present. <br />
