1 r1 <br />The question of a source or sources of needed additional revenues <br />was discussed. Councilman Hansen recommended ah increase in water <br />rates as the best means of spreading the burden. The Council was <br />in agreement and Atty. Nilson was directed to prepare an ordinance <br />providing for a Minimum Charge of 402.00 and an excess rate of 10/ <br />per 100 cu. ft. He was also directed to investigate the legality <br />of a higher rate for out of town users. <br />RESOLUTION #1916 authorizing payment of Officers' salaries for July <br />in the amount of 4'02,000.32 was adopted on motion of Councilman .Hansen, <br />seconded by councilman Brenner and approved by all Councilmen present. <br />The financial report for the year ending June 30, 1946, was approved <br />as presented by the Clerk. <br />There being no further business to come before the Council, the <br />meeting was adjourned at 11:10 P.a. to meet again in adjourned <br />session at 7:30 P.M. on Monday, August 12, 1946. <br />Mayor <br />C er <br />Pleasanton, California <br />August' 12, 1946 <br />The Council of the Town of Pleasanton met in adjourned regular <br />session at 7:30 P.M. on the above date with Mayor Earl Trimingham <br />presiding. Roll call showed Councilmen Brenner, Oxsen and Hansen <br />present and Councilman Mezza absent.. <br />Councilman Oxsen advised the Council that he was investigating the <br />type of dump truck to be procured for the .Street Department. <br />A letter from the Alameda County Planning Commission submitting maps <br />of the proposed Forrest Adams subdivision just outside the City limits <br />on Vineyard Avenue was read. The Clerk was directed to inform the <br />County Planning Commission that the Town sewage facilities would not <br />be available and that Town water would be furnished only when surplus <br />quantities were available. <br />Councilman Brenner requested the Street Department to paint "No U Turn ". <br />signs and pedestrian crossing stripes at the intersections of Main, <br />St. Mary's and Spring Streets. <br />The Clerk was directed to contact the City Attorney relative to the <br />possibility of waiving the business license requirement for the con - <br />tractor for the PP.P.R.R. sidewalks on St. Mary's and St. John's.Sts. <br />There being no further business to come before the Council, the <br />meeting was adjourned at 7:55 P.M. to meet again in regular session <br />at 8:00 P.M. on Tuesday, September 3, 1946. <br />Mayor G. <br />Clerk Iltat <br />
