Pleasanton, California <br />April 9, 1951 <br />47 <br />The Council of the Town of Pleasanton met in special session with Mayor Oxsen in <br />the chair. Roll call showed Councilmen Ttimingham, Hansen and Abrott present. <br />Absent ,Councilman Hewitson, absent due to illness. <br />THE MAYOR stated that this would be an informal meeting and was called to meet with Mr. <br />Ramseier in regards to the new pond area. <br />?.ENGINEER RAMSEIER presented preliminary plans, as suggested by the Council. Following <br />a discussion as to the proposed pipe lines, type of outlets, etc. and upon motion of <br />Councilman Abrott, seconded by Councilman Trimingham, Engineer was instructed to pre- <br />pare plans, specifications and bids calling for leveling and checking the land with <br />installation oflh "Tipe on new pond area. The motion was approved.by all Councilmen <br />present. <br />FORREST ADAMS, asked the Council if the had considered further the curb and gutter <br />constrction on Third Angela Streets. <br />Following further discussion, the Clerk was instructed to have City Attorney Gale <br />^3 draw up an agreement, whereby all property owners, on the N. side Third Street and <br />Cr) those on the W. side of Angela Street would agree to sign with a contractor, on or be- <br />fore June 1st, 1951, and have written proof of same on file in the City Clerks office <br />to erect curb and gutter on their property, whereupon the city would then do the rough <br /><C grading. <br />COUNCILMAN HANSEN informed the Council that Trailer Court owners were dissatisfied, <br />have requested the County to take out a license for the trailers now parked at the Fair <br />Grounds. <br />THE CLERK, thereupon was instructed to send a copy of Ordinance No. 165 and a license <br />to Mr. Wray Bergstrom, Sect., of the Alameda County Fair. <br />COUNCILMAN ABROTT gave figures of rent, as campared to purchasing the pump now in use at <br />the old pond area and recommended the purchase of same. <br />Was instructed to purchase the one in use, or a new one, according to best price. <br />THERE BEING no further business to come before the Council, the.meeting was adjourned <br />at 9:30.P.M. to meet again in regular session At 8:00 -P.M. on May 7, 1951. <br />Clerk <br />Pleasanton, California <br />May 7, 1951 <br />The Council of the Town of Pleasanton met in regular session on the above date <br />with Mayor Oxsen in the chair. At 8:00 P.M. Roll call showed: Councilmen Hansen and <br />Abrott present. <br />Absent: Councilmen Trimingham and Hewitson. Councilman Hewitson absent due to illness. <br />MINUTES of the meetings of April 2nd and 9th were read and approved. <br />MAYOR OXSEN stated that before proceeding with the regular business, and the discuss- <br />ion of Flouridation, for which the Public Health Officer, Dr. James C. Malcolm was <br />present he would call on other visitors that they might state their business. <br />MR. PERRY said he hoped there was no misunderstanding about the lights that have not <br />been installed; informed the Council that the Government had recalled a great deal of <br />the P.G. &E's material, and that this had stopped the installation of same temporarily <br />but the job would be completed as material and fixtures were made available. <br />With regards to the tree trimming, the Council assured Mr. Perry that they would not <br />call on the P.G. &E. until they had several trees unless, of course, in case of an <br />emergency. <br />
