36 <br />Ex -MAYOR TRIMINGHAM stated that his home was quite some distance from 1st. Street <br />and therefore didn't feel that he should voice an opinion, but felt that the Council <br />would act to the best interests of the Town as a whole. <br />MR. F. V. BRENNER stated he felt practically the same as Mr. Triminghan but felt <br />that it would help for future expansion. <br />MR. ARENDT had no comment other than to say, he was neutral. <br />MAYOR OXSEN then asked the Council itts pleasure. <br />COUNCILMAN TRIMINGHAM said: not withstanding the fact that some of my friends may <br />not approve everyone who has approached me thus far, seems to be in favor or <br />have no definate. stand against the Bridge, I therefore move that the Council go on <br />record, and so notify the Board of Supervisors, that the City Council is in favor of <br />the permanent Bridge over the Arroya at First St., providing there be no cost to the <br />Town of Pleasanton for it's construction or approaches. The motion was seconded by <br />Councilman Hansen and approved by all Councilman present. <br />GEORGE SOBIELA informed the Council that a Mr. Kay who several months ago complet- <br />ed, or moved into his new home on First Street below Vineyard Avenue and has not.con- <br />nected up to the Sewer System and that he has repeatedly requested him to so. <br />THE CLERK was instructed to write Mr. Kay, informing him of City Ord. +95 where- <br />by he is usbject to a $100.00 fine etc. <br />RESOLUTION NO. 213g ttPayrolll' Authorizing payment of salaries in the amount of <br />$2,g40,99 for the month of January was adopted. on motion of .Councilman Hansen, sec- <br />onded, by Councilman Trimingham and approved by all Councilman present. <br />Mayor <br />PLEASANTON,- CALIFORNIA <br />February 13, 1951 <br />The Council of the Town of Pleasanton met in regular adjourned session on <br />the above date at 7:30 P.M. with Mayor Oxsen in the chair. Roll call showed: <br />Councilmen Hansen, Trimingham and Abrott present. <br />Absent Councilman Hewitson due to illness <br />MAYOR OXSEN called upon Engineer Ramseier for his recommendations for the Bids <br />submitted for the pipe crossing at the Sewage Treatment Plant. <br />ENGINEER RAMSEIER: by form of letter: recommended the Council to'accept the Bid <br />of Underground Construction Company, who was low bidder for the pipe crossing <br />under S.P.R.R. <br />After some discussion as to the location of stand pipes; the lay out checks for <br />best irrigation restlts and to insure minimum work and cost..It was agreed to hold <br />said plans to obtain suggestions from others in the vacinity as to economical, <br />yet most effecient lay -out for the proposed permanent pasture. <br />MR. RAMSEIER also informed the Council that he would bring an assistent and make <br />the necessary wiring changes on the panel at .Sewage Treatment Plant. <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2139 accepting the Bid of Underground Construction Company in the <br />total of $2,806.00, for the pipe crossing under the S.P.R.R. at the Sewage Treat- <br />ment Plant was adopted upon notion of Councilman Trimingham, seconded by Council- <br />man Abrott and approved by all i_Councilmen present. <br />THE CLERK was instructed to notify the above named Company of the Council's action <br />and inform them that the contract would be forthcoming. <br />CITY ATTORNEY GALE reviewed the right of way to the new pond area. Mr. Gale also <br />presented the figures, as presented by the appraisor of the Fire Insurance Company <br />for City Buildings. <br />
