Absent: .None. Approved, C. H. Schween, An ORDINANCE CONSENTING TO THE ESTABLISHMENT OF COUNTY HIGHWAY WITHIN. THE LIMITS OF THE TOWN OF PLEASANTON: Bi__t by the Board of Trustees of the Town of Pleasanton: Section 1. -The Board of Trustees of the Town of Pleasanton does hereby agree that s trip of nine (9) feet in width on each side of the center line of the highway known as Main street in the Town of Pleasanton, Pleasanton Road district, Pleasanton President o Boardcof Trustees. Township, Alameda County, California, between the northerly boundary line of the Town of Pleasanton and the Southern Pacific Main line tracks at the southern terminus of said Main street, lying wholly within the limits of the Town of Pleasanton, be established as a part of the system of highways of the County of Alameda, State of California. Inasmuch as the County of Ala,meda proposes to immediately pave the above mentioned highway and there is at this time an urgent need for the immediate paving of said highway for the immediate preservation of public safety, this ordinance is declared to be an emergeny measure and shall take effect immediately upon its aoproval. A resolution of the Board of Supervisors of Alame a County, accepting a stip of roadway nine feet on each side of the center of Main street in the Town of Pleasanton, as a part of the systems of county highways, was read and orderedplaced on file. The town marshal was instructed to notify all property owners on Main street having enclosed or raised gutters in front of their property to have them removed A petition signed by a numbere of property owners on Neal street between Main street and the Southern Pacific railroad tracks, asking that the city pay for the paving of one third of that street, while the other two thirds would be paved':by the property owners,. was received, read and placed in file. 5 5.5
