H. Schween, <br />An ORDINANCE CONSENTING TO THE ESTABLISHMENT OF COUNTY HIGHWAY WITHIN. THE LIMITS <br />OF THE TOWN OF PLEASANTON: <br />Bi__t by the Board of Trustees of the Town of Pleasanton: <br />Section 1. -The Board of Trustees of the Town of Pleasanton does hereby agree <br />that s trip of nine (9) feet in width on each side of the center line of the highway <br />known as Main street in the Town of Pleasanton, Pleasanton Road district, Pleasanton <br />President o Boardcof Trustees. <br />Township, Alameda County, California, between the northerly boundary line of the Town of <br />Pleasanton and the Southern Pacific Main line tracks at the southern terminus of said <br />Main street, lying wholly within the limits of the Town of Pleasanton, be established <br />as a part of the system of highways of the County of Alameda, State of California. <br />Inasmuch as the County of Ala,meda proposes to immediately pave the above mentioned <br />highway and there is at this time an urgent need for the immediate paving of said highway <br />for the immediate preservation of public safety, this ordinance is declared to be an emergeny <br />measure and shall take effect immediately upon its aoproval. <br />The rdoption the ordinance was moved by Trustee Bairos, seconded by Trustee <br />Garatti, and carried by the following vote: <br />Ayes Trustees Pickard, Garatti, Bruce, Bairos and Schween. <br />Noes Trustees None. <br />Absent- -None. <br />Attest Approved this 3rd Day of December, 1923 <br />C. M. <br />The Board of Trustees, pursuant to adjournment taken on the evening of December <br />3rd, was called to order at 7 :30 p. m. by President Scbween. T'rustees.Pickard, Bairos, <br />Bruce, Garatti and Schween answered the roll call. <br />A resolution of the Board of Supervisors of Alame a County, accepting a stip of <br />roadway nine feet on each side of the center of Main street in the Town of Pleasanton, <br />as a part of the systems of county highways, was read and orderedplaced on file. <br />The town marshal was instructed to notify all property owners on Main street <br />having enclosed or raised gutters in front of their property to have them removed <br />A petition signed by a numbere of property owners on Neal street between Main <br />street and the Southern Pacific railroad tracks, asking that the city pay for the <br />paving of one third of that street, while the other two thirds would be paved':by <br />the property owners,. was received, read and placed in file. <br />5 5.5 <br />
