Schedule shall be updated on a regular basis to keep the City informed of the project status 2.2 Project Management "CONSULTANT" shall provide project management services until design is completed. Project management includes coordinating between subconsultants, utility companies, city staff, and property owners. 3 Base Mapping Preliminary Design 3.1 Base Mapping "CONSULTANT" will use the Old Stanley Boulevard Reconstruction dated June 2008 "OSBR- 2008" CAD base for the Underground Utility Project. The matching CAD base from OSBR -2008 will also be useful for designing new PG &E Vaults in locations which are compatible to the design for the OSBT -2008 project (sidewalks, driveways and streetlight locations will be considered). The OSBR -2008 CAD files include utility linework and topographic survey points, which will be used to identify the best alignment for the Joint Trench Project "PROJECT 3.2 Map Existing Overhead Connections "CONSULTANT" will add to the CAD Base mapping for 31 properties that includes the following overhead utility information a) telephone connection points, b) cable connection points, c) electrical connection points, d) service box locations, e) house foot print and other existing features along the service connection route. Also added the AutoCAD Base file will be existing overhead powerlines on Stanley Blvd. "CONSULTANT" shall distribute base maps for each individual property to the design team. 3.2 Conceptual Joint Trench Layout "CONSULTANT" will prepare preliminary design of the Joint Trench alignment along with utility vault locations. As part of this proposal process, "CONSULTANT" prepared a schematic hand -drawn trench layout. "CONSULTANT" identified a possible trench location 5' north of the existing waterline. This alignment will be considered because the trench construction is in the shoulder of the road, and avoids power poles and existing utilities. "CONSULTANT" will contact utility companies to obtain information related to existing underground utilities. The "CONSULTANT" design of the Joint Trench alignment is sensitive to the number of conduits in the trench and the sizing of the vaults. Therefore PG &E electrical designs are needed prior to each submittal phase. During our initial site investigations we noted: gas line, water line, sanitary sewer, and utility manholes. We recommend close discussion and approval by Mr. Mike Fulford regarding hand trenching requirements near the existing trees to remain. BELLECCI ASSOCIATES, INC JULY 10, 2009
