disposition of such low-valued vehicle or part for which <br /> evidence of registration was recovered the Chief of <br /> Police shall provide notice to the registered and legal <br /> owners of intent to dispose of the vehicle or part, and <br /> if the vehicle is not claimed and removed within twelve <br /> (12) days after the notice is mailed, final disposition <br /> may proceed. No agent of the City nor contractor <br /> thereof shall be liable for any damage caused to a <br /> vehicle or part thereof by removal pursuant to this <br /> section. <br /> <br /> The notices of intention shall be in substantially the <br /> following forms: <br /> <br /> PMC Section 5-7.14 is amended by the addition of the <br /> following language so that the final sentence of said <br /> section reads as follows with new language underscored: <br /> <br /> Section 5-7.14: Disposal. , , ,. After a vehicle has <br /> been removed it shall not thereafter be reconstructed or <br /> made operable unless it is a vehicle which qualifies for <br /> either horseless carriage license plates or historical <br /> vehicle license plates, pursuant to section 5004 of the <br /> Vehicle Code, in which case the vehicle may be <br /> reconstructed or made operable. <br /> <br />Section 21. Parades· PMC Section 4-2.1702 subsection c. is <br />amended to read as follows: <br /> <br /> Section 4-2.1702: Definitions: <br /> <br /> c. "Chief." Chief shall mean the Chief of Police <br /> of the City of Pleasanton or his designated <br /> representative. <br /> <br /> PMC Sections 4-2.1705, 4-2.1709 and 4-2.1710 are amended <br /> so that all references to the word "Director" shall be <br /> replaced by the word "Chief." <br /> <br />Section 22.
