Section 23. Subdivision Provisions. PMC Section 2-2.01 is amended with the addition of the following language at its conclusion: Section 2-2.01: Purpose. , , ,.. The application of the provisions of this Chapter shall be deemed supplemental to the provisions of the Subdivision Map Act of the State of California (Government Code Sections 66410,et seq.) and to the extent that said Map Act pre-empts local ordinances as contained herein the provisions of State law shall apply. In cases where the local jurisdiction may adopt more flexible standards and procedures and less restrictive time limits the provisions of the local ordinances as contained herein shall apply. PMC Sections 2-4.02 (Hillside and Large Lot Subdivisions.) and 2-4.37 (Appeal.) are deleted in their entirety. Section 24. Parallel Titles of Administrative Entities, Positions; Editorial Amendments: Wherever in the text of the Pleasanton Municipal Code a title of any administrative entity or position has been modified through action, resolution or ordinance by the City Council or any of its duly authorized administrative bodies or agents such entity or position, shall be retitled in the Code in accordance with current administrative practice. The effect of this section is to establish an on-going editorial policy of the City of Pleasanton and its City Council allowing editorial modifications to the PMC where title changes to parallel entities and positions affect the text of this Code. Section 25. Severability. If any portion, section, subsection, sentence, clause or phrase of this ordinance is for any reason held to be invalid or unconstitutional by the decision of any court of competent jurisdiction such decision shall not affect the validity of the remaining portions of this ordinance. The City Council of the City of .Pleasanton hereby declares that it would have passed this ordinance and each portion, section, subsection, sentence, clause and phrase thereof irrespective of the fact that any one or more other portions, sections, subsections, sentences, clauses or phrases be declared invalid or unconstitutional. Section 26. This ordinance shall be published once within fifteen (15) days after its adoption in "The Tri-Valley Herald," a newspaper of general circulation published in the City of Pleasanton. Section 27. This ordinance shall be effective thirty (30) days after the date of its final passage and adoption.
