Section 19. Various Traffic Regulations. PMC Section 5-1.50 b. <br /> is hereby deleted. PMC Section 5-1.52 is amended in its <br /> entirety to read as follows: <br /> <br /> Section 5-1.52: Removal of Chalk Marks. The removal, <br /> obliteration or concealment of any chalk mark or other <br /> distinguishing mark used by any police officer or other <br /> employee or officer of this City in connection with the <br /> enforcement of the parking regulations of this Title, if <br /> done for the purpose of evading the provisions of this <br /> Title, shall constitute a misdemeanor violation. <br /> <br /> The following sections are hereby deleted: <br /> <br /> 5-1.53 Public Employees to Obey Traffic Regulations. <br /> 5-2.03 Obedience to Traffic Control Services. <br /> 5-2.06 Pedestrians to Obey Special Pedestrian Traffic <br /> Signals. <br /> 5-2.22 Signal Controlled Intersections - Right Turns. <br /> 5-2.23 Signal Controlled Intersections - Left Turns. <br /> 5-2.31 Emerging from Alley, Driveway or Building. <br /> 5-2.61 Clinging to Moving Vehicle. <br /> 5-2.62 New Pavement and Markings. <br /> 5-2.63 Obedience to Barriers and Signs. <br /> <br /> Section 5-3.02 is amended by the addition of new <br /> subsection E. following subsection D. with the remaining <br /> subsections redesignated accordingly, as follows: <br /> <br /> Section 5-3.02: Curb Markings. <br /> <br /> E. "Blue" indicates parking limited exclusively to <br /> vehicles of physically handicapped persons. , , , <br /> <br />Section 20. Abandoned Vehicles on Private Property. PMC Section <br /> 5-7.10 is amended in part as follows with new wording <br /> underscored: <br /> <br /> Section 5-7.10: Notice. A ten (10) day notice of <br /> intention to abate and remove the vehicle, or parts <br /> thereof, as a public nuisance shall be mailed by <br /> registered mail to the owner of the land and to the <br /> owner of the vehicle, unless the vehicle is in such <br /> condition that identification numbers are no~ available <br /> to determine ownership or unless the vehicle or part <br /> thereof which is inoperable due to the absence of a <br /> motor, transmission, or wheels and incapable of being <br /> towed, is valued less than Two Hundred Dollars ($200) by <br /> a person specified in Section 22855 of the Vehicle Code, <br /> and is determined by the Chief of Police to be a public <br /> nuisance presenting an immediate threat to public health <br /> or safety, provided that the property owner has signed a <br /> release authorizing removal and waiving further interest <br /> in the vehicle or part thereof.
