Downtown <br />Square (two <br />locations) <br />D R A F T M A S T E R P L A N F O R T H E D P T S <br />DOWNTOWN PLEASANTON <br />The City of Pleasanton is located in Alameda County, in the Tri- Valley area (Livermore, San <br />Ramon, Amador valleys). The city limits locate Pleasanton at the intersection of highways 580 and 680, <br />with the downtown area approximately three miles south of 1 -580, and one and one -half miles east of <br />1 -680. The downtown area, south of the Arroyo del Valle, and north of Bernal Ave., retains many build- <br />ings 80 to 100 years old, and has a small town character that combines the charm of its agc with the <br />vitality of new business, growth, and activity. <br />INTRODUCTION <br />2 <br />
