D. Board of Directors Review. 1. Upon receipt of an appeal, and enough additional information for the board to adequately review the commission's decision, the chairman of the board of directors shall call a special meeting of the board of directors. Normally, the special meeting shall be scheduled to coincide with a regularly scheduled city council meeting. 2. The executive director shall assure that adequate notice is given to the press in accordance with Section 2.36,070(C). 3. The executive director shall provide the appellant with notice of the time and place designated for the special meeting and a copy of public agenda materials relating to the appeal. E. Board Action. 1. The board may affirm, reverse or modify the decision of the commission. 2. The decision of the board shall take effect immediately." Section 6: Subsection 4 of Section 2.36,040 PMC (Maintenance of Membership) is amended to read as follows: " 4. Removal from the office in accordance with Health and Safety Code Section 34282 by the mayor." Section 7: Section 2.36.040 PMC (Maintenance of Membership) is amended by changing the number sequence 1,2,3, and 4 to the letter sequence A, B, C, and D. Section 8: Subsection D (Treasurer) of Section 2.36.060 PMC (Executive Secretary) is amended to replace the word "board" with the word "commission" as the last word in the third sentence. section 9: Subsection E (Additional Personnel) of Section 2.36,060 PMC (Executive Secretary) is amended to read as follows: "E. Additional Personnel. The executive director may employ such personnel as he or she deems necessary to exercise the powers, duties and functions as prescribed by the Housing Authorities Law of California and all other laws of the state applicable thereto. The process for selection and the compensation ranges of such personnel shall be determined by the commission subject to the laws of the state."
