THREE-YEAR GOAL: Improve and expand the website to make it useful <br />and dynamic <br /> <br />The library provides information and 24-hour access to online databases and <br />other services via the library website. Community members and staff <br />indicated that more resources should be available to the public remotely <br />through the library's website and that the site should be arranged so that <br />information is accessible and current. <br /> <br />ONE-YEAR OBJECTIVES: <br /> <br />By April 30, 2002, the Director of Library Services, Head of <br />Technical Services and Library Services Manager, working with the <br />Deputy City Manager and City Information Services Staff, will <br />develop a plan for website development and clarify issues regarding <br />the City's control of the library's website. <br /> <br />By June 30, 2002, the Booklegger Coordinator and Head of <br />Children's Services will develop an animated, interactive book review <br />webpage. <br /> <br />By December 1, 2002, the Young Adult/Adult Services Division <br />Head, Reference Division Head, Library Services Manager, <br />Booklegger Coordinator and Head of Technical Services, working <br />with the Teen Advisory Group, will design a "teen page" for the <br />library website. <br /> <br />By December 31, 2002, the Reference Division Head, working with <br />the Head of Technical Services, will develop website links to business <br />resources and information. <br /> <br />o <br /> <br />By December 31, 2002, the Library Services Manager will develop <br />the capacity for use of elech'onic forms online (e.g., library card <br />registration). <br /> <br />7 <br /> <br /> <br />
