a. All potentially active faults shall be identified on the <br /> site prior to tentative map approval. Geologic <br /> investigations, including trenching, shall be conducted <br /> by the certified engineering geologist to determine the <br /> extent of any active faulting along the identified <br /> faults. Construction shall conform to the <br /> recommendations of the engineering geologist, as <br /> reviewed and approved by the City's geotechnical <br /> engineering firm and the City Engineer. <br /> <br /> b. No structure for human occupancy shall be located on or <br /> adjacent to an active or potentially active landslide. <br /> <br />59. The applicant shall mitigate impacts relating to erosion . <br /> Such mitigations shall include the following: <br /> <br /> a. "State of the practice" construction methods for <br /> hillside developments shall be followed during grading <br /> operations to control wind and water erosion. <br /> <br /> b. Where necessary, natural creeks shall be armored as <br /> required by the City Engineer subject to the approval of <br /> any other agency claiming jurisdiction. Visual and <br /> biological effects shall be important considerations. <br /> <br /> c. A long-term erosion maintenance plan shall be developed <br /> by the applicant's engineer and landscape architect, and <br /> shall be subject to the approval of the City Engineer. <br /> The plan shall include maintenance provisions by the <br /> homeowners association, which shall be incorporated in <br /> the CC&R's for the project. <br /> <br /> 60. The applicant shall mitigate impacts relating to groundwater. <br /> Such mitigations shall include the following: <br /> <br /> a. All existing springs shall be shown on the tentative <br /> map. The specific details of mitigating the springs <br /> Resolution shall be determined prior to the approval of <br /> the tentative map. <br /> <br /> b. Surface drainage improvements shall be installed as <br /> required by the City Engineer. <br /> <br /> c. Fills shall have subdrains in accordance with the <br /> recommendations of the geotechnical consultant, as <br /> reviewed and approved by the City's geotechnical <br /> engineering firm and the City Engineer, and irrigation <br /> systems shall be designed and operated to minimize lot <br /> groundwater seepage. <br /> <br /> 61. The applicant shall provide locked gates at each end of the <br /> emergency access road with knox boxes to prevent access of <br /> private vehicles into project open space areas.
