Noise <br /> Impact: <br /> <br /> The city finds that approval of the project could expose <br /> existing homes adjacent to the site to temporary high <br /> noise levels from project construction activities. This <br /> is considered a short-term significant impact (Final FIR, <br /> page 9-5). <br /> <br /> Facts: <br /> <br /> 1. Subdivision and house construction work shall be <br /> limited to between the hours of 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 <br /> p.m. Monday through Friday and between 8:00 a.m. <br /> and 5:00 p.m. on weekend days. Heavy earth-moving <br /> and paving equipment activities shall be limited to <br /> the hours of 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Monday through <br /> Friday, and, with approval of the City Engineer, <br /> between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. on Saturdays. All <br /> noise-generating construction equipment shall meet <br /> DMV noise standards and shall be equipped with <br /> muffling devices. When necessary, shielding <br /> material shall bs used for unusually high noise <br /> generation areas. <br /> <br /> 2. Construction traffic shall be directed to use <br /> Bernal Avenue between the site and Sunol Boulevard. <br /> <br /> Findings: <br /> <br /> 1. The City Council adopts the above-stated <br /> conclusions of the Final FIR with respect to the <br /> significance of noise impact resulting from project <br /> development. <br /> <br /> 2. The City Council finds that mitigation measures are <br /> feasible and will be required as a condition of <br /> approval. <br /> <br /> 3. The City Council finds that the mitigation measures <br /> incorporated into current project, the additional <br /> mitigation measures discussed and set forth on the <br /> Final FIR, and mitigation measures which will be <br /> imposed upon future project approvals, have <br /> <br /> - 21 - <br /> <br /> <br />
