5-5 Provide light and glare control (Draft EIR, page 5-14). Said
mitigation measures were considered and adopted with any
pertinent changes in Condition 5-5, Exhibit "B" of the City
Council staff report dated June 16, 1992.

5-6 Provide barrier along east property line (Draft EIR, page
5-15). Said mitigation measures were considered and adopted
with any pertinent changes in Condition 5-6, Exhibit "B" of
the City Council staff report dated June 16, 1992.

Finding~ Mitigation Measures S-S and S-6 Feasible and Required

The City finds that it is feasible to mitigate this impact to a
less-than-significant level by requiring the applicant and
successors in interest to incorporate the specific provisions of
Mitigations 5-5 and 5-6 into the project design. The applicant and
successors in interest shall incorporate such visual impact
reduction provisions into project design as a "Condition of
Approval" to the project.

2.4 Vegetation and Wildlife

Loss or Degradation of Riparian Habitat

Impact: Loss of riparian habitat and potential stream pollution

The City finds that the project, as currently proposed, would alter
a portion of an existing drainage area and possibly add urban
runoff pollutants into the streams from project streets and
driveways which could have an adverse affect on amphibians present
and the quality of water used by other wildlife species. This is
a potential significant impact (Draft EIR, page 6-5).

Proposed Mitigation Measures of the EIR

The EIR identified the following mitigation measures which would
substantially avoid this potential biologic impact.

6-1 Redesign the project or provide replacement to minimize loss
of riparian habitat (Draft EIR, page 6-6). The project has
been redesigned accordingly to preserve the riparian areas on
the site. Aproval of the mitigation is required under
Condition 6-1, Exhibit "B" of the City Council staff report
dated June 16, 1992.

6-2 Replace lost riparian woodland (Draft EIR, page 6-6). Said
mitigation measures were considered and adopted with any
pertinent changes in Condition 6-1, Exhibit "B". of the City
Council staff report dated June 16, 1992.

11
