Ordinance No. 1584 <br />Page Nine <br /> <br /> F. that the Driver violated any provisions of this chapter. <br /> 6.40,160 Driver's Permit - Issuance. <br /> <br /> After review of the information set forth in Section 6.40,140, <br /> if it appears to the Police Chief that the Driver is fit, <br /> willing and able to perform such duties expected of a Driver, <br /> the Police Chief shall issue a Driver's permit which shall <br /> bear the name, address, age, signature and photograph of the <br /> Driver. <br /> <br /> 6.40,170 Driver's Permit - Display. <br /> <br /> Every Driver issued a permit under this chapter shall post the <br /> permit in full view of all passengers while such Driver is <br /> operating a Taxicab. <br /> <br /> 6.40.180 Driver's Permit - Temporary. <br /> <br /> The Police Chief may, in the Police Chief's sole discretion, <br /> grant a temporary Driver's permit pending final action on any <br /> application for a Driver's permit as provided in this chapter, <br /> but no such temporary permit may be issued to any person who <br /> does not have a valid Class C license issued by the State of <br /> California. This temporary Driver's permit shall authorize <br /> the holder thereof to drive any Taxicab for a period of thirty <br /> days. <br /> <br /> 6.40,190 Chanqe of Employment. <br /> <br /> If a Driver changes his or her employment, the Driver shall <br /> within twenty-four hours thereafter notify the police <br /> department for the purpose of having the Driver's permit <br /> changed so as to correctly designate the name of the new <br /> employer. <br /> <br /> 6.40,200 Chanqe of Address. <br /> <br /> If a Driver changes his or her residential address, the Driver <br /> shall within ten days thereafter notify the police department <br /> for the purpose of having the Driver's permit changed so as to <br /> correctly designate the Driver's residential address. <br /> <br /> 6.40,210 Driver's Permit - Suspension and Revocation. <br /> <br /> A Driver's permit issued under the provisions of this Chapter <br /> may be suspended or revoked at any time by the Police Chief if <br /> the holder thereof: <br /> <br /> A. is convicted of a felony; <br /> <br /> B. the Driver's state Class C license suspended or revoked; <br /> <br /> <br />
