Ordinance No. 1584 <br />Page Fifteen <br /> <br /> 1. Excessive leakage of oil, grease, gas or any other <br /> substance from any part of the Taxicab; <br /> <br /> 2. The existence of any defects in the frame of the <br /> Taxicab; <br /> <br /> 3. The failure of any moveable parts of the Taxicab <br /> affecting public safety, including doors, windows, <br /> hoods, trunk, lights, etc., to function in the <br /> proper working order; <br /> <br /> 4. Failure to maintain the tires, lights, turning <br /> signals, or brakes in good and safe operating <br /> condition; <br /> <br /> 5. Failure to maintain the motor and other mechanical <br /> parts of the Taxicab in good and safe operating <br /> condition; <br /> <br /> 6. Failure to have an adequate exhaust system that <br /> complies with state law properly installed and in <br /> good working condition; <br /> <br /> 7. Improper maintenance of the exterior paint, in the <br /> proper color scheme; and <br /> <br /> 8. Failure to have adequate interior lighting in <br /> proper working condition. <br /> <br /> E. Cleaninq of the Interior. The interior of every Taxicab <br /> shall be thoroughly cleaned at least once in every <br /> twenty-four hours. <br /> <br /> F. Cleaninq of Exterior. The exterior of every Taxicab <br /> shall be thoroughly cleaned at least once every seven <br /> days. <br /> <br /> G. Penalty If the Taxicab fails inspection for safety <br /> reasons or because the Taximeter is not current, the <br /> Taxicab shall be put out of service for one week. If the <br /> Taxicab fails inspection because of a beautification <br /> item, the Owner shall be given one week to correct this <br /> defect. If at the end of that week the Taxicab does not <br /> pass the reinspection, the Taxicab shall be placed out of <br /> service until the defect is repaired and passes <br /> inspection. <br /> <br /> <br />
