Mr. Pavan noted that the setback for the pool as shown on the drawing is approximately 65 feet <br />from th~ east property line. <br /> <br />In response to a question from Commissioner Arkin, Mr. Pavan advised that the project planner <br />will sign-off the construction drawings and the building inspector will make a site inspection <br />when the pool is formed to make sure the setbacks are met. <br /> <br />Mr. Larson, the applicant, noted that the pool is being installed exactly where the old pool was <br />located. Zoning for the property is H-P-D (Hillside Planned Development <br />District). <br /> <br />Mr. Pavan presented the staff report, noting that the Planning Commission conducted a work <br />session on this project, at which time the Commission provided comments to the applicant. He <br />noted that the project has been redesigned and is before the Commission this evening. Mr. Pavan <br />stated that at the work session Commissioner Rob~. rts requested that non-reflective window <br />glazing be used. He noted that the condition for this requirement had inadvertently been omitted, <br />but that it could be included. Mr. Pavan provided an overview of the issues pertaining to the <br />proposal, including geotechnical, concerns of the Longview Homeowners Assocation, Wildland <br />Fire lvtmnagement and the effect on existing trees and the proposed building siting, building <br />design, and tree preservation. He provided a color board for the Commission's review. He <br />noted that staff feels the only way to decrease the visibility of the house is to decrease the size of <br />the home and suggests that the Planning Commission discuss the issue of visibility and provide <br />direction to the applicant if deemed appropriate.
