PUBLIC HEARING WAS OPENED <br /> <br />Katie Ryan, 6746 Payne Road, provided the Commission with a handout relating to illicit <br />behavior that happens in public restrooms. She expressed concern with the proposed location of <br />the second restroom. She noted this restroom is not easily accessible for patrol by police officers <br />and she expressed concern with the accessibility of this park, and restrooms, to major freeways. <br />She requested the second bathroom be relocated or eliminat~l and requested she be informed of <br />upcoming heatings on the West Los Positas interchange. She noted that the odor is bad from the <br />plant and additional planting of trees is desirable. <br /> <br />Mr. Plucker noted that there is a Commission addressing issues relating to the West Los Positas <br />interchange and that the Commission is in the process of finalizing their recommendation and <br />alternative measures. <br /> <br />Deborah Wahl, 4629 Mason Street, provided an overview of mitigation measures for the odor <br />from the sewage plant. She spoke in support of the project. <br /> <br />Marcia Rockwell, 6728 Payne Road, expressed concern with the location of the second bathroom <br />and the safety of the children utilizing this restroom. She suggested relocating restroom to a <br />central location and enlarging plans for this restroom. She expressed concern with the lack of <br />parking for residents. She requested that trees be utilized that only shed leaves once a year. She <br />expressed support with the sports park plan. <br /> <br />Julia DuPuis, 6836 Payne Court, spoke in opposition to the second bathroom and noted a <br />bathroom in a different location would encourage parents to accompany their children. She <br />requested that additional parking be provided. <br /> <br />Rudi Weber, 6872 Herrin Court, expressed support with the plan. He noted he was not in favor <br />of the easement and the traffic. He noted there is only a sidewalk on one side of Stoneridge and <br />inquired whether there has been discussion of installing a sidewalk on the south side of <br />Stoneridge. He expressed agreement with his neighbors and relocating the second bathroom. <br /> <br />Mr. Wolfe noted that issues relating to a sidewalk on the south side of Stoneridge Drive is being <br />examined. <br /> <br />Cindy Dileo-Tsono, 6837 Payne Court, expressed concern with the location of the corporation <br />yard. Further, she expressed concern with the dust and noise that will be generated from the <br />corporate yard. She requested that park maintenance personnel utilize the access road farthest <br />from her house. She further noted she would not be in support of the second bathroom. <br /> <br />Mr. Wolfe noted the corporate yard is a 4,000 square foot structure that will house park <br />maintenance machinery, such as lawn mowers. <br /> <br />David Madrigal, 6869 Massey Court, noted that parents and children should not have to be <br />inconvenienced by walking to a bathroom that is located across the park.
