Resolution No. PC-2000-37 was entered and adopted as motioned. I?Clffp-10. Carden-West School Application for a conditional use permit to operate a private elementary school for generally preschool through grade 2 with approximately 92 students. The proposed hours of operation are generally 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. The school is located at 4444 Black Avenue. Zoning for the property is P (Public and Institutional ) District. Mr. Plucker referenced a staff report dated June 28, 2000 and highlighted key areas contained in the report including background information, site description, project description, noise, hours of operation, parking, and circulation. In conclusion, Mr. Plucker noted that staWs recommendation is that the Commission make the required Conditional Use Permit findings as listed in the staff report and approve Case PCUP-10 subject to the conditions listed in the attached "Exhibit B." Discussion ensued relating to the number of students enrolled at the school and the maximum capacity for students. PUBLIC HEARING WAS OPENED Karen Everscott, applicant, noted there is no intent to utilize portables. She stated the school has a five year commitment to the church to occupy the education building. She noted there are two additional classrooms that can be utilized. Further, she stated the school has no religions affiliation to the church. PUBLIC HEARING WAS CLOSED A motion was made by Commissioner Kameny, seconded by Chairperson Roberts, to make the required Conditional Use Permit findings as listed in the staff report and approve Case PCUP-10 subject to the conditions listed in the attached "Exhibit B.'
