Resolution No. PC-2000-37 was entered and adopted as motioned. <br /> <br />I?Clffp-10. Carden-West School <br />Application for a conditional use permit to operate a private elementary school for <br />generally preschool through grade 2 with approximately 92 students. The proposed hours <br />of operation are generally 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. The school is <br />located at 4444 Black Avenue. Zoning for the property is P (Public and Institutional ) <br />District. <br /> <br />Mr. Plucker referenced a staff report dated June 28, 2000 and highlighted key areas contained in <br />the report including background information, site description, project description, noise, hours <br />of operation, parking, and circulation. In conclusion, Mr. Plucker noted that staWs <br />recommendation is that the Commission make the required Conditional Use Permit findings as <br />listed in the staff report and approve Case PCUP-10 subject to the conditions listed in the <br />attached "Exhibit B." <br /> <br />Discussion ensued relating to the number of students enrolled at the school and the maximum <br />capacity for students. <br /> <br />PUBLIC HEARING WAS OPENED <br /> <br />Karen Everscott, applicant, noted there is no intent to utilize portables. She stated the school has <br />a five year commitment to the church to occupy the education building. She noted there are two <br />additional classrooms that can be utilized.
