Chairperson Roberts suggested that it be strongly encouraged that there be a sidewalk on the <br />south side of Stoneridge Drive. <br /> <br />Commissioner Sullivan spoke in favor of the corporate yard being eliminated from the plan and <br />relocating the yard to another location. <br /> <br />Discussion ensued relating to the maintenance crew utilizing the easterly pathway to operate <br />landscaping machine~. <br /> <br />Chairperson Roberts commended the Parks and Recreation Department for the work performed <br />on this project. She spoke in favor of fencing around the soccer field to protect the fields. She <br />stated this park provides amenities for many different people. She spoke in favor of the <br />recommendation to have the police department patrol the park on bicycles. She expresses <br />appreciation to the public for the input provided. Chairperson Roberts expressed enthusiasm for <br />the project and noted she would be supporting approval of the project. <br /> <br />Commissioner Arkin spoke in support of the project. He requested that the family restroom <br />elements be utilized in both restrooms in the park. Commissioner Arkin noted his indecision <br />relating to fencing of the fields. <br /> <br />Commissioner Maas concurred with the condition for a family restroom. <br /> <br />A motion was made by Commissioner Maas, seconded by Chairperson Roberts, that the <br />Commission recommend to the City Council that the project would not have a signiflennt <br />impact on the environment, with a finding of"de minimis impact'; that the draft negative <br />d~claratlon be adopted; that the General Plan amendment is consistent with the General <br />Plan; that the rezoning is consistent with the goals and objective of the General plan; make <br />the use permit findings as listed in the staff report; and approve Case PCUP-12 and PDR- <br />46 subject to the condition listed in Exhibit "B'; that there be an amendment to conditions <br />that the Director of Parks and Recreation will approve park uses that could exceed <br />provided parking spaces provided a shuttle system is utilized; and that a family restroom <br />element will be utilized in both restrooms in the park.
