A motion was made by Commissioner Maas, seconded by Chairperson Roberts, to continue <br />this hearing to June 28, 2000. <br /> <br />ROLL CALL VOTE <br /> <br />AYES: Commissioners Arkin, Maas, Sullivan and Chairperson Roberts <br />NOES: None <br />AI~SENT: Commissioners Kameny and Malmrose <br />A~STAIN: None <br /> <br />Commissioner Sullivan expressed concern with the grading issues and requested that the <br />d~velop~ examine grading issues especially in key locations. He requested that the developer <br />attempt to resolve issues that are not resolved at this point. <br /> <br />Commissioner Arkin expressed concern with the berm utilized on Lots M2 and M3 and <br />suggested that staff work with the developer to examine creativity in utilizing berms. <br />Commissioner Arkin expressed concern with the utilization of a sound wall and requested that it <br />be deleted. He noted that if the Oetman property is not developed, extensive landscaping may be <br />necessary. He requested that Lots L1 and L2 be single-story homes. He requested that the <br />applicant provide a new visual analysis from Vineyard Avenue, coming from beth east and west, <br />for the next hearing. <br /> <br />Chairperson Roberts noted the applicant has good plans. She requested that there be open <br />fencing on hills and that homes be architecturally articulated all the way around the homes. She <br />spoke in favor of tile overhangs being placed over the side door out of the garage. She requested <br />additional stone be utilized on homes on visible lots and that a visual analysis be provided <br />showing the top of the hill. Chairperson Roberts expressed concern with the berms and <br />requested that the developer address issues of sloping. She expressed concern with the visibility <br />of homes on the hillside. She stated that the Vineyard Corridor should be aesthetically pleasing. <br />Commissioner Maas requested that the individuality of the homes be left intact; Chairperson <br />Roberts concurred. <br /> <br />Commissioner Maas noted a letter was received from a concerned citizen expressing concern <br />with the safety of entering Vineyard Avenue from Clara Lane and requested that the developer <br />address that issue. <br /> <br />Discussion ensued relating to drainage and V-ditches. <br /> <br />Commissioner Maas inquired whether the landscape plan will be ready soon; Mr. Rowe <br />responded affirmatively. <br /> <br />PLANNING COMMISSION MINUTES June 14, 2000 Page 10 <br /> <br /> <br />
