City of Ple~santun <br />Application for approval to do the following: (1) General Plan amendment to change the <br />designation of Parcel 1 (APN #941-1302-002-24) from Public and Institutional to Parks <br />and recreation; (2) rezoning of Parcel 1 and Parcel 2 (APN #941-1302-005-02) from <br />Agricultural to Public and Institutional; (3) issue a conditional use permit for a park <br />which is conditionally permitted in the Public and Institutional district; and (4) design <br />review of the proposed Val Vista park renovation and expansion on parcels 1 and 2 <br />located at 6701 Payne Road. Zoning for both parcels is A (Agricultural) District. Also <br />consider the Negative Declaration prepared for the project. <br /> <br />Continued to June 28, 2000. <br /> <br />7. ~[~kTTERS INITIATED BY COMMISSION MEMBERS <br /> <br />Commissioner Sullivan initiated discussion relating to the Antrim project and noted support with <br />the Commissioner's decision for LEED guidelines, enhanced trip reduction, the EV station, and <br />urban storm water run off. He noted that progress is being made on issues important to the <br />Commis~iun. Commissioner Sullivan requested that the Commission conduct a workshop on <br />these issues prior to large projects coming before the Commission. <br /> <br />Discussion ensued relating to the status of the San Francisco Bemal property. <br /> <br />Commissioner Arkin initiated discussion relating to the Livermore Airport and requested that <br />staffprovide information relating to the Livermore Airport becoming a regional airport in which <br />the Cities of Pleasanton, Livermore, and Dublin would have joint control of the airport and equal <br />representation on the Airport Commission. Mr. Plucker noted he will examine this issue and <br />provide information to the Commission. <br /> <br />Chairperson Roberts noted she received a copy of the Negative Declaration for the Neal School. <br /> <br />Commissioner Sullivan requested the Commission be provided an update on the Ponderosa Plan <br />for the Busch property and potential resurrection of the Eastside Study. <br /> <br />Commissioner Sullivan initiated discussion relating to the Pleasanton dump site and noted the <br />difficulty of trying to access the recycling area due to the number of cars accessing the entrance <br />to the dumps. <br /> <br />Chairpemon Roberts initiated discussion relating to the signal control on Del Valle Parkway and <br />Santa Rita Road. <br /> <br />Mr. Plucker initiated discussion relating to the Commission scheduling a workshop with a <br />fagilitato~ to provide techniques and ideas for establishing priorities and expediting the work of <br />the Commission. <br /> <br />PLANNING COMMISSION MINUTES June 14, 2000 Page 11 <br /> <br /> <br />
