7. MATTI~RS INITIATED BY COMMISSION MEMBERS <br /> <br />Commissioner Sullivan advised the Commission that he has contacted the U.S. Green Building <br />Council and the U.S. Green Building Council will be providing a presentation to the Commission <br />at a future date. He requested input from the Commission on topics they would like addressed. <br />Commissioner Arkin requested that the U.S. Green Building Council address how environmental <br />mitigation measures are being applied to different communities. <br /> <br />Chairperson Roberts requested that the Commission agendize for discussion at a future meeting <br />consideration for adopting an ordinance for tear-down of homes or add-on to homes in <br />residential neighborhoods. Chairperson Roberts commented on the conference in Monterey that <br />Commissioner Maas and herself recently attended. <br /> <br />Chairperson Roberts inquired whether the City has challenged the Association of Bay Area <br />Governments (ABAG) affordable housing allocations. Mr. Plucker noted that the City is <br />conducting discussions and responding to ABAG's affordable housing allocations. Chairperson <br />Roberts requested that staff provide updates to the Commission on this issue. Commissioner <br />Maas noted she attended a computer visualization session. <br /> <br />Commissioner Arkin inquired as to whether a joint Planning Commission/Housing Commission <br />meeting will be conductmt. <br /> <br />Commissioner Arkin initiated discussion as to why the City does not charge build'rog fees at the <br />close of escrow based on sales price versus square footage. Ms. Seto noted she would provide <br />the Commissioners with a copy of the Comprehensive Development Fee report. <br /> <br />8. MATTERS FOR COMMISSION'S REVIEW <br /> <br />Mr. Plucker noted there is a tentative schedule for the Commission to meet with the City Council <br />on Tuesday, July 25, 2000 at 8:00 p.m. He requested that the Commissioners check their <br />schedules and advise staff of their availability. Chairperson Roberts requested that the joint <br />meeting not be conducted in the summer months. <br /> <br />Mr. Plucker noted that staff will be adding to the list of standard conditions for commercial and <br />residential projects and will be provid'mg that to the Commission in a workshop for their review. <br />Commissioner Arkin requested that there be a condition for encouraging developers to develop <br />projects that bring the City two percentage points closer to balance for residents of Pleasanton to <br />work in Pleasanton. <br /> <br />Ms. Seto noted that she will be absent at the Commission meeting of March 22, 2000 and that <br />Deputy City Attorney Rene Perko will be attending.
