MATTI~RS INITIATED BY COMMISSION MEMBERS Commissioner Sullivan advised the Commission that he has contacted the U.S. Green Building Council and the U.S. Green Building Council will be providing a presentation to the Commission at a future date. He requested input from the Commission on topics they would like addressed. Commissioner Arkin requested that the U.S. Green Building Council address how environmental mitigation measures are being applied to different communities. Chairperson Roberts requested that the Commission agendize for discussion at a future meeting consideration for adopting an ordinance for tear-down of homes or add-on to homes in residential neighborhoods. Chairperson Roberts commented on the conference in Monterey that Commissioner Maas and herself recently attended. Chairperson Roberts inquired whether the City has challenged the Association of Bay Area Governments (ABAG) affordable housing allocations. Mr. Plucker noted that the City is conducting discussions and responding to ABAG's affordable housing allocations. Chairperson Roberts requested that staff provide updates to the Commission on this issue. Commissioner Maas noted she attended a computer visualization session. Commissioner Arkin inquired as to whether a joint Planning Commission/Housing Commission meeting will be conductmt. Commissioner Arkin initiated discussion as to why the City does not charge build'rog fees at the close of escrow based on sales price versus square footage. Ms. Seto noted she would provide the Commissioners with a copy of the Comprehensive Development Fee report. 8. MATTERS FOR COMMISSION'S REVIEW Mr. Plucker noted there is a tentative schedule for the Commission to meet with the City Council on Tuesday, July 25, 2000 at 8:00 p.m. He requested that the Commissioners check their schedules and advise staff of their availability. Chairperson Roberts requested that the joint meeting not be conducted in the summer months. Mr. Plucker noted that staff will be adding to the list of standard conditions for commercial and residential projects and will be provid'mg that to the Commission in a workshop for their review. Commissioner Arkin requested that there be a condition for encouraging developers to develop projects that bring the City two percentage points closer to balance for residents of Pleasanton to work in Pleasanton. Ms. Seto noted that she will be absent at the Commission meeting of March 22, 2000 and that Deputy City Attorney Rene Perko will be attending.
