Supervised Youth Activities <br /> <br />Develop joint-use, after-school, and drop-in activities for K-8 students on school sites <br />that employee teachers to run programs offered by the city and/or community <br />organizations <br /> · Continue working with the YMCA, Parks and Community Service, and <br /> Pleasanton Schools Educational Enrichment (PSEE) to offer after school <br /> programs at K-8 schools <br /> <br />Cooperate with the planning process to implement a master plan that includes a visual <br />and performing arts center <br /> · Provide input to the planning process <br /> <br />Indicators of Proqress <br /> <br />· Establishment of drop-in, after school programs at K-8 school sites <br />· Increased participation in after school programs <br /> <br />Community of Character <br /> <br />Continue the work to implement the Community of Character <br /> · Continue the work of the Community of Character Advisory Committee <br /> (Strategy #6 in the Pleasanton USD Strategic Plan) <br /> · Provide two representatives from the district's Community of Character <br /> Advisory Committee to serve on the Youth Master Plan Implementation <br /> Committee in order to align Community of Character activities in the <br /> schools with city-wide efforts to expand Community of Character <br /> <br />· Establish an Community of Character Committee for city activities <br /> <br />Publicize the Community of Character through available community sources <br /> · Distribute information on activities that support the efforts of schools to <br /> promote the Community of Character <br /> <br />Identify community resources and activities that support Community of Character <br /> · Contribute information to a clearinghouse for Community of Character <br /> resources and activities established by the Implementation Committee <br /> <br />Indicators of Proqress <br /> <br />· Increase in awareness of the Community of Character concepts <br />· Increase in the number of Community of Character activities implemented by the <br /> district, the city, and community organizations <br />· Community-wide adoption and application of the Six Expectations of Personal <br /> Behavior <br />· Creation of a list of community resources that support the Community of Character <br /> <br /> <br />
