The implementation plan for the selected goals and objectives are being presented to both <br />the Board of Trustees and the City Council for approval. Once approved, advertisements <br />recruiting community members for membership on the Youth Master Plan Implementation <br />Committee will be sent out. <br /> <br />The following section identifies the tasks that staff believes can start being implemented <br />successfully during the 2001-02 school year. For the tasks that the district can padicipate <br />in, specific tasks are identified in italics. The distdct will not be involved in every tasks <br />listed below. The implementation plan also includes several "Indicators of Progress" <br />drawn from the full Youth Master Plan report. <br /> <br />Implementation Goals and Objectives <br /> <br />Child Care <br /> <br />Promote the expansion and creation of child care opportunities through joint-use <br />partnerships <br /> · Provide input to committees exploring options to use community facilities <br /> for joint-use partnerships <br /> <br />Explore drop-in options, in addition to custodial child care (see Supervised Youth <br />activities) <br /> · Continue working with the YMCA, Parks and Community Service, and <br /> Pleasanton Schools Educational Enrichment (PSEE) to offer after school <br /> programs at K-8 schools <br /> <br />Explore the availability of grants to support joint-use partnerships to provide child care <br />options <br /> · Apply for grants whenever appropriate and consistent with the work of the <br /> district <br /> <br />· Use Child Care Links to communicate the availability of child care options <br /> <br />Develop a Request for Proposal (RFP) to provide child care for children of PUSD <br />employees <br /> · Continue the work of the committee developing the RFP <br /> <br />· Communicate information on child care to parents <br /> · Distribute information from Kids Club, the YMCA, and Child Care Links <br /> <br />Indicators ofProqress: <br /> <br />· Increase in the available quality child care options spaces throughout Pleasanton <br />· Reduction in the number of children on waiting lists for child care services <br />· Establishment of a centralized location for child care information <br /> <br /> <br />
