Examples and Description of Co-Sponsored Groups <br /> These groups will be such as to provide recreation programs which satis- <br /> fies a broad need in one or more activity areas for one particular age <br /> group. To qualify for this type of sponsorship a group% program should <br /> be such that it appeals to significant number of persons within the <br /> co,unity. <br /> Higher emphasis will be placed upon programs which satisfy a broad <br /> creation need and thereby assisting the City in the development of a <br /> well balanced recreation program. Groups of this nature might be <br /> Children's Drama Association, Youth Sports Association, etc. <br /> <br /> C. Department Responsibilities and Set~vices <br /> The Department may provide fo~ co-epo~ored groups one o~ ~e o~ the <br /> <br /> following services. <br /> <br /> (1) A facility, including utilities, at minimum or no cost. <br /> instances, custodial services may be provided. <br />(2) Certain equipment, materials and clerical assistance. <br />(3) Instructors and/or Supervisors.' <br />Requirements and Privileges for Sanctioned StatuS <br />A. Requirements for Qualifications <br /> <br /> (1) <br /> <br /> Be organized to provide a worthwhile recreation activity for a <br /> special interest group, for any age group or is specifically for <br /> youth but does not reach as wide a,segment of the co~nmnity as do <br /> programs qualifying for co-sponsored status. <br /> <br /> (2) File with the Recreation Department the groups By-Laws and/er <br /> Constitution, submitting changes asi they occur. <br /> <br /> (3) Comply in intent and operation with all policies, regulations, and <br /> rules of the Department of Recreation or the facilities being used. <br /> <br /> (4) Submit a ~onthly attendance report on forms provided by the <br /> Recreation Department. <br /> <br /> (5) 1/aintsin an approved attendance level. (Recomnended 15 or ~ore per <br /> sessio~). <br /> <br /> (6) Keep a cu~rtnc listing of addresses and phone numbers of all <br /> of/ice~s, advtsozs, or t~t~ucto~a, on file ~ith the Department. <br /> <br /> (~) Sub~t annually and upon request fram the Director of Recreation, <br /> City ~ana~er, Recreation and Park Co~ssion, or the City Council <br /> a budge= and a year-end fiscal statement.
