Department Responsibilities and Services <br /> The Department.may provide for sanCtioned groups one or more of the <br /> following services: <br /> <br /> A facility at ~tni~um or no cost. Utilities and custodial services <br /> may be provided where unusual or special circumstances exist. <br /> <br /> (2) Certain equipment and materials. <br /> <br /> (3) Limited clerical assistance. <br /> <br /> *Under rare and unusual circumstances the Recreation and Park <br /> Cor~tssionmay recommend to the City Council that sanctioned <br /> groups bm entitled to the same privileges granted co-sponsored <br /> grOUpS for a limited period of time. <br /> <br />Requirements and Privileges 'for Approved Groups <br /> <br />A. Requirements for Qualification <br /> <br /> (1) Groups receiving this designation must conduct program(s) which <br /> ere of an indirect recreation purpose or'be of some other highly <br /> significant community value. <br /> <br /> (2) Hust make a detailed written or form application to the Director <br /> of Recreation and/or the Recreation and Park Commission 60 days <br /> in advance of such programs. <br /> <br />B. Examples and Descriptions of ApprovedGroups <br /> Fraternal or service orga~ization using City recreation and park <br /> facilities or receiving service assistance to conduct special commun- <br /> ity recreation, education or welfare programs (Example-Kiwanis Rodeo). <br /> <br />C. Departmental Responsibilities <br /> <br /> (1) Provide use of facility. <br /> <br /> (2) Use of certain equipment and materials. <br /> <br /> (3) Staff services <br /> <br /> * Charges for any such services et the discretion of the City <br /> Council, after review end recommendation of the Recreation and <br /> Park tom, lesion. <br /> <br />Requirements and Privileges for Permitted Groups <br /> <br />A. Requirements for Qualification <br /> <br /> (1) Hake e form application to the CityHanager or Director of <br /> Recreation. <br /> <br /> (2) That, the group be a recognized responsible commu~ity organiza- <br /> tion or club. <br /> <br /> (3) Pay in advance any end all fees required, as provided in the Fees <br /> and Rental Charges Policy. <br /> <br />B. Examples and Description of Femitted Groups <br /> Local groups and clubs using facilities for direct benefit of their <br /> own membership. <br /> It is to be noted here that charges assessed these groups for use of <br /> City recreation and park facilities shall be higher if the intent of <br /> the program is to raise money for non-public benefit purposes. <br /> For specific charges consult the Fees and Rental Charges Policy. <br />C. Departmen~ Eesponsibil~ties aud Services <br /> (1) Use of the facility for short term use, provided such use does not <br /> interfere with any Community Recreation Service programs. ~ <br /> <br /> <br />
