Resolution No. PC-2000-65 <br />Page 13 <br /> of the Planning Director. All utilities in the joim trench shall be installed in <br /> conduit. <br /> <br />64. All traffic signals shall be interconnected to the satisfaction of the City Engineer. <br /> <br />65. <br /> <br />66. <br /> <br />A 3-inch traffic signal interconnect conduit shall be installed in the street light <br />trench along Bemal Avenue. Said conduit shall start at the traffic signal controller <br />cabinet at the intemection of Valley Avenue and Bemal Avenue. The conduit <br />shall have number "6" pull boxes installed at 400-foot interval along the conduit. <br />The City shall reimburse the developer for the cost of the conduit and pull boxes. <br /> <br />The applicant shall install and dedicated to the City two 4-inch diameter conduits <br />in the joint trench along the Valley Avenue office development frontage in order <br />to serve future telecommunication, broadband, and other needs. Said conduit shall <br />start and end with 3-foot x 4-foot pull boxes, and have 3-foot x 4-foot pull boxes <br />installed at 500 foot intervals along the conduit. <br /> <br />67. <br /> <br />The design of all traffic circles shall generally follow the design shown on Page 2 <br />of the tentative map. The final design details shall be subject to the review and <br />approval of the Planning Director and City Engineer prior to final map approval. <br /> <br />68. Waterline Connection in Valley Avenue from Bemal Avenue to Case Avenue <br /> <br />a. The applicant shall install the 16" waterline in Valley Avenue from Bemal <br />Avenue to Case Avenue. The applicant may install this line in a "cross-country" <br />connection manner outside of the ultimate street right-of-way area, subject to the <br />review and approval of the City Engineer, at the Valley Avenue intersection with <br />the UPRR right-of-way. <br /> <br />b. If by July 31, 2001 the developer and the City do not mutually agree that <br />this cross-country connection will be installed and operational by December 3 I, <br />2001, the applicant shall fund the "Equivalem Value" of this connection upon <br />demand of the City Engineer within thirty (30) days. The Equivalent Value is the <br />cost of the water line installation, as determined by the City Engineer, from the <br />Valley Avenue/Street B intersection to the Case Avenue/Junipero Street <br />intersection including the cost m jack and bore under the UPRR right-of-way and <br />the Zone 7 channel and installation of maintenance access roads. <br /> <br />c. Subsequent to the July 31, 2001 determination, the City Engineer may <br />determine that the cross-country waterline connection will not be installed and <br />operational by December 31, 2001 or an acceptable time thereafter and require the <br />payment of the Equivalent Value. <br /> <br />d. The payment of the Equivalent Value to the City shall relieve the <br />developer of installing the cress-country connection and require the developer to <br />install the 16" waterline conneetien as part of the undererossing improvements. <br /> <br /> <br />
