Measure LS. Require a combination 0f~OUfidWall and construction techniques, such <br />a~ sold rated windows and wails, in residential units near the railway that are (or <br />wo~d be, with future rail service) exposed to exterior maximum train passby noise <br />levela of 75 dBA or more. <br /> <br />F_iglli~: Changes or alterations have been required in, or incorporated into, the <br />Project which avoid or substantially lessen the significant environmental effect <br />idenilified in the Final ELR to a less th. an significant level. <br /> <br />Facts in Suooort of Finding,: The impact will be avoided or reduced based on the <br />following: <br /> <br />a. The Greenbriar Project, Phase I, includes 8-foot soundwalls along the <br />railroad tracks to shield nearby residentiai areas in the East Parcel fi:om noise impacts. <br />The~e soundwalls are also required by PUD condition . The EIR acoustical <br />engineers have determined that these walls will work in conjunction with building <br />construction techniques to provide satisfactory peak noise levels inside key living <br />areas of adjoining residences. <br /> <br /> b. PUD Condition requires interior noise standards to be met for <br />maximum instantaneous noise levels due to train pass-by events. Standard <br />cormtruction methods can be employed to achieve these results. <br /> <br />7. Itmmct L6. Construction activity would raise noise levels in selected.residential <br />area~ to urmcceptable levels. <br /> <br />Measure L6a. Limit construction activities as appropriate to each development unit. <br />Me~sure L6b.
