Resolution No. PC-2000-12 <br />Page 6 <br /> <br />10. The applicant shall arrange and pay for the geotechnical consultant to inspect and <br /> approve all foundation, rem'ming, wall and drainage geotechnical aspects of project <br /> construction. The consultant shall be present on site during grading and <br /> excavation operations. The results of the inspections and the as-built conditions of <br /> the project shall be certified in writing by the geotechnical consultant for <br /> conformance to the approved plans and geotechnical report and submitted to the <br /> City Engineer and Director of Building Inspection for review and approval prior to <br /> occupancy. <br /> <br />11. <br /> <br />The applicant shall comply with the recommendations of the tree report prepared <br />by Hortscience, Inc. dated September 27, 1991, November 4, 1998, December 17, <br />1998, and January 17, 2000. The construction recommendations shall be printed <br />in bold print on the front of the building permit planset. No tree trimming or <br />pruning other than that specified in the tree report shall occur. The applicant shall <br />arrange for the horticultural consultant to conduct a field inspection prior to <br />issuance of a building permit to ensure that both a silt and orange wire construction <br />fence has been installed at the outer edge of the tree dripline and that all other <br />recommendations have been properly implemented. The consultant shall certify in <br />writing that such recommendations have been followed. <br /> <br />12. <br /> <br />No trees shall be removed other than those specifically designated for removal on <br />the approved plans or tree report. The applicant shall post cash, letter of credit, or <br />other security satisfactory to the Planning Director in the amount of $5,000 for <br />each tree required to be preserved, up to a maximum of $25,000. This cash bond <br />or security shall be retained for one year following completion of construction, <br />whichever is later, and shall be forfeited if the trees are destroyed or substantially <br />damaged. Additional damages up to the appraised value of the trees, $45,900, may <br />be collected if the deposit of $25,000 is exceeded. <br /> <br />13. <br /> <br />Approximately one-third of the width of the deck along the rear of the house shall <br />be cantilevered in order to reduce the number and height of the proposed post <br />supports. This revision shall be shown on the plans submitted for the review and <br />approval of the Planning Director prior to the issuance of a building permit. <br /> <br />14. <br /> <br />The harmnerhead turnaround shall not be used for vehicle parking upon <br />completion of the construction of this home. <br /> <br />15. <br /> <br />No solid fencing is permitted on this lot. The proposed location of any open <br />fencing to be installed on the lot shall be submitted for the review and approval by <br />the Planning Director prior to its installation. <br /> <br /> <br />
