&- A qualified biologist will be present during the initial site
investigation to determine the extent of potential ground-disturbing
activities within 30 feet of suitable habitat.

Ground-disturbing activities within 30 feet of suitable habitat
would occur between May 1 and October 31.

&-- Between May 1 and October 31, ground-disturbing activities
will not occur within 50 feet of suitable habitat during rainy weather.

Vehicles to and from the project site would be confined to
existing roadways to minimize disturbance of habitat

Prior to movement of any equipment within 30 feet of
suitable habitat, a qualified biologist will make sure the route to the
site was clear of California red-legged frogs.

&-- If a California red-legged frog is encountered during
excavations, activities would cease until the frog was removed and
relocated by a USFWS approved biologist. Any incidental take would
be reported to the USFWS immediately by telephone at 916/414-6600.

If suitable wetland habitat is disturbed or removed, a
restoration plan will be prepared and implemented to restore the
suitable habitat back to its original value.
BIO-4
&-- The construction area will be clearly defined using orange
barrier fencing to minimize disturbance to riparian vegetation and
western pond turtle habitat.

3x-- A preconstruction survey by a qualified biologist for western
pond turtles will be conducted within 24 hours of the start of
construction activities in the Arroyo del Valle. Ifa turtle is located
within the construction area, the turtle will be relocated out of this area
and exclusion fence will be installed to prevent the movement of
turtles back into the construction area.

Table 1.
