&- A qualified biologist will be present during the initial site <br />investigation to determine the extent of potential ground-disturbing <br />activities within 30 feet of suitable habitat. <br /> <br /> Ground-disturbing activities within 30 feet of suitable habitat <br />would occur between May 1 and October 31. <br /> <br />&-- Between May 1 and October 31, ground-disturbing activities <br />will not occur within 50 feet of suitable habitat during rainy weather. <br /> <br /> Vehicles to and from the project site would be confined to <br />existing roadways to minimize disturbance of habitat <br /> <br /> Prior to movement of any equipment within 30 feet of <br />suitable habitat, a qualified biologist will make sure the route to the <br />site was clear of California red-legged frogs. <br /> <br />&-- If a California red-legged frog is encountered during <br />excavations, activities would cease until the frog was removed and <br />relocated by a USFWS approved biologist. Any incidental take would <br />be reported to the USFWS immediately by telephone at 916/414-6600. <br /> <br /> If suitable wetland habitat is disturbed or removed, a <br />restoration plan will be prepared and implemented to restore the <br />suitable habitat back to its original value. <br />BIO-4 <br />&-- The construction area will be clearly defined using orange <br />barrier fencing to minimize disturbance to riparian vegetation and <br />western pond turtle habitat. <br /> <br />3x-- A preconstruction survey by a qualified biologist for western <br />pond turtles will be conducted within 24 hours of the start of <br />construction activities in the Arroyo del Valle. Ifa turtle is located <br />within the construction area, the turtle will be relocated out of this area <br />and exclusion fence will be installed to prevent the movement of <br />turtles back into the construction area. <br /> <br />Table 1.
