Council of .the City of Pleasanton; (hereinafter referred to as "City"), and the Pleasanton City Employees Asaocia- tion, *ine by and rh E (hereinafter re- ferred to ad "Association"). W I T N E S S E T N WHEREAS, Pleasanton City Employees Association is a recognized employee organization representing certain employees employed by the City of Pleasanton; and WHEREAS, City and Association have heretofore .instructed their. respective representatives to meet and confer consistent with the provisions of Section 3500, et seq, of the Government Code in order to promote full communication and, to the extent possible, understanding and agreement between Council and Employees regarding wages, hours and other terms and conditions of employment for members of Association; and WHEREAS, it is the intention of the parties hereto that this Memorandum of Understanding supplement Resolution No 3~ ~~ 3 which establishes salaries for classified and unclassified employees of the City of Pleasanton for the year 1973-74 and the City of Pleasanton Personnel. Rules and Aegula- tions; and WHEREAS, it is-further the parties intention that this Memorandum of Understanding, in the event of any conflict between such and the aforesaid Resolution and Personnel Rules and Regulations, shall, prevail. NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS MUTUALLY AGREID BETWEEN THE PARTIES HERETO AS FOLLOWS: I. TERM. The term of this agreement. shall commence on July 1,.1973, and terminate June 30, 1974. II.
