Facts in SuppoR of Finding: The impact will be avoided or reduced based on the <br />following: <br />a. The payment of standazd connection fees as required by the PUD (Condition <br />_) will assure that the City has the ability to complete the water distribution system <br />to provide an appropriate citywide standazd of service. <br />b. The findings under Impact C 1, which cover the Project's water conservation <br />measures, aze incorporated by reference. <br />c. The PUD requires improvements [o be constructed to meet [he Pleasanton <br />water system standazds. <br />3. Impact C3. Cumulative increase in demand for water storage system capacity. <br />Mitigation Measures: <br />Measure C3a. Require payment of connection fees. <br />Measure Cab. Require water conservation measures. <br />Findine: Changes or alterations have been required in, or incorporated into, the <br />Project which avoid or substantially lessen the significant environmental effect <br />identified in the Final EIR to a less than significant level. <br />Facts in Support of Finding: The impact will be avoided or reduced based on the <br />Y'ollowing: <br />a. "fhe FEIR states Pleasanton currently has excess water storage capacity, <br />which is expected to continue to be available through the year 200g. At some time in <br />the future, additional capacity may be needed to assure [hat [he City's water system <br />meets its established pressure and fire Hghting criteria. The Pleasanton Watec Master <br />Plan provides for the development of a water storage system [hat is adequate to serve <br />the future City of Pleasanton. The payment of standard connection fees by new <br />development, as required by PUD Condition _ will allow the City to complete the <br />storage system to maintain an appropriate citywide level of service. <br />b. Mitigation measures related to a golf coursc azc not necessazy because a golf <br />course is not proposed as part of Phase I. In Phase II, if a golf course is considered as <br />one of the public uses, further environmental review will occur at that time. <br />4. Imnact C4. Cumulative increase in groundwater withdrawal beyond the annual <br />safe yield. <br />Mitigation Measures: None. <br />
