SECTION VIII (Continued) <br /> <br />Majority Vote Reauired <br /> <br />Except as provided below, all Council actions are adopted by a majority vote of those <br />preseW; and voting. <br /> <br />An affirmative vote of at least three members of Council shall be necessary to introduce <br />and to adopt an ordinance. Urgency ordinances must be adopted by at least a 4/5 vote. <br /> <br />An affLrmative vote of at least three members of Council shall be necessary for <br />appoinunents to boards and commissions, to amend these Policies and Procedures, and <br />as otherwise required by law. <br /> <br />Ordinance and Resolution Preservation <br /> <br />Foilowing adoption of an ordinance or resolution, the City Clerk will assign a number <br />m the document, and publish and post it according to law. The ordinance or resolution <br />shall be fried and preserved in the City Clerk's office, <br /> <br />E. Commendations <br /> <br />Commendations may be initiated by the Mayor, any Councilmember or the City <br />Manager, and shall be issued once signed by the Mayor and Councilmembers. <br /> <br /> CrFY COUNCIL COMMITTEES.
