Items Considered After 11:00 By 11:00 p.m., the Council shah determine by vote which agenda items, if any, it will take up that evening, with the intent o f completing those items by 11: 30 p.m. At 11: 30 p.m. the Council shall determine by vote whether it will complete action on the current agenda item end any others. Any other agenda items scheduled for the evening but not taken up or completed shall be continued to a future date. Continued items shall be taken up after the "Meeting Open to the Public" portion of each meeting (see Section III.C.). PROCEDUR~ REGARDING PUBLIC HEARINGS AND COMMENTS BY THE PUBLIC ON OTHER AGENDA ITEMS A. Commencement: Noticed public hearings shall commence at the time specified in the notice of hearing, or as soon thereafter as is reasonably possible, and shall continue until completed, unless continued under Section V. H. of there policies. Public comment on other agenda items shall commence when the Presiding Officer so indicates and may continue until all persons have spoken, unless continued under Section VII. G. of the policies. Any item may ha continued or re-continued to any subrequent meeting by majority vote of the Council. This may he done if additional information is deemed necessary. B, Procedures The Presiding Officer shall announce the subject of the item, declare the public hearing open when applicable, or ask for public comments. If necessary to assure completion of the item, the Presiding Officer may establish time limits for the prerentations by individual speakers. If the public hearing is opened but COntinued to a date specific, the item does not have to be re-noticed.
