MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING <br /> between <br /> CiTY OF PLEASANTON <br /> and <br />PLEASANTOU CITY E~.!PLOYEES ASSOCIATIOU <br /> <br /> This ~.lem,arandum of Understanding is entered into pursuant to the provisions of <br />Sections 3500-3510 of the Government Code of the State of California. <br /> <br /> The Employee Relations Officer (City Manager) is trle representative of the City of <br />Pleasan[on iu employer-employee relations matters. <br /> <br /> Pleasanron City Employees Association is the formally recognized employee organization <br />for the (3,~naral Employees Unit. <br /> <br /> The parties have met and conferred in good faith regarding wages, hours and other <br />terms and conditions of employment for the employees in said representation unit, and <br />have freely exchanged information, opinions and proposals and have endeavored to reach <br />agreement on all matters relating to the employment conditions and employer-employee <br />relations of such employees. <br /> <br /> This Memorandum of Understanding shall be presented to the Pleasanton City Council <br />as the joint recommednation of the undersigned parties for salary and employee benefit <br />adjustments for the period commencing July 1, 1975 and ending June 30, 1977. <br /> <br /> The existing wages, hours and conditions of employment shall be amended only as <br />follows: <br /> <br />1. Effective July 1, 1975, the City shall contribute an amount necessary to provide <br />hospital and medical care benefits under the present Blue Cross Plan or Kaiser B Plan <br />for the individual employee and a portion of the amount necessary to provide coverage <br />for eligible dependents; provided, however, that in no event shall the City be obligated <br />to contribute an amount in excess of Forty-three Dollars and Fifty Cents ($43.50) per <br />month per employee to provide the aforesaid coverage. Effective July 1, 1976, the <br />maximum amount shall be increased to Forty-eight Dollars and Fifty Cents ($48.50) per <br />month. <br /> <br /> 2. Sewage Treatment Plant emp~o~ee~ who are assigned to and are working a daily tour of <br /> duty ~hich starts between 3:00 P.M. and 1:00 A.M. shall be paid the hourly equivalent <br /> rate of Twenty-five Dollars ($25.00) per month in addition to their base rate for all <br /> hours worked during such shift. <br /> <br />3. Effective January 1, 1976, the City shall contribute an amount not to exceed <br /> Fifteen Dollars ($15.00) per month per employee to provide a Dental Plan for employees <br /> and their eligible dependents, such plan to be mutually agreed upon by the Pleasanton City <br /> Employees Association and the City. <br /> <br /> 4.
