Effective July 1, 1976, the salary rates for each classification shall be adjusted <br />to reflect an increase which shall be determined as provided below on the basis of the <br />Consumers' Price Index for Urban Wage Earners and Clerical Workers--San Francisco-Oakland, <br />California--All Items (t967=100) hereinafter referred to as the "Index." Such salary <br />increase sirall be computed on the basis of the change in the Index from March 1975 to <br />March 1976 as follows: <br /> <br />Wage Increase Index at March 1976 <br /> <br />5% 166.6 and below <br />5-1/2% 166.7 - 167.6 <br />6% t67.7 - 168.6 <br />6-1/2% 168.7 - 169.5 <br />7% 169.6 and above <br /> <br />As provided above, such salary increase shall not be less than five p!ercent (5%) nor <br />more than seven percent (7%). <br /> <br />No adjustments, retroactive or otherwise, shall be made in the amount of the salary <br />increase due to any revision which later may be made in the published figures for the <br />Index ~or any month on the basis of which the increase has been determined. A decline <br />in the Index shall not result in a reduction of classification salary rates. <br /> <br />The salary increase based on the Index shall be contingent upon the continued availability <br />of official monthly Bureau of Labor Statistics Price Index in its present form and <br />calculaled on the same basis as the foregoing Index (1967=100) unless otherwise agreed <br />upon by the parties. <br /> <br /> It is mutually recommended that the modifications shown above be made applicable on <br />the dates indicated and, in conjunction with the existing unmodified rules, regulations <br />and ordinances of the City, shall constitute the wages, hours and working conditions for <br />those employees represented by Pleasanton City Employees Association for the period <br />July 1, 1975 through June 30, 1977. <br /> <br />Dated: "~-- ~"7 -~ <br /> <br />PLEASANFOU CITY EMPLOYEES ASSOCIATION <br /> <br /> -2- <br /> <br />CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br /> <br />
