~EREAS, subsequent to certification of the final environmental <br /> impact report and the consideration of information con- <br /> tained therein, a Notice of Determination must be filed <br /> with the County Clerk of Alameda County; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the above steps for certification and filing of the <br /> <br /> environmental impact report for project 2-b have already <br /> been accomplished by Resolution No. 75-137 and thus, are <br /> not addressed in this resolution; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREEFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEAS~qTON DOES <br />RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1. Certifies that the Pleasanton Water Quality Control <br />Program, draft environmental impact report and amendments thereto <br />which are separately bound volumes comprise the final environmen- <br />tal impact report relation to project 5-b and that said final <br />environmental impact report has been completed in compliance with <br />the California Environmental Guidelines promulgated by the Secre- <br />tary for Resources of the State of California. <br /> <br />Section 2. Certifies that it has reviewed and considered the <br />information contained in the final environmental impact report and <br /> <br />made its determination that project 5-b <br />projects which can be undertaken by the <br />existing Sunol Sewage Treatment Plant. <br /> <br />is one of the most viable <br />City to phase out the <br /> <br />The City Council recog- <br /> <br />nizes that the proposed project will have certain significant <br />effects on the environment but finds that these effects will be <br />mitigated and will be more than compensated for by the significant <br />beneficial effects on the environment which will result in the <br />implementation of the project. <br /> <br />Section 3. Certifies that the draft environmental impact report <br />has been submitted to members of the public as well as to other <br />affected agencies and an opportunity for public comment has been <br />allowed, which comments are contained in the amendment to the <br />draft environmental impact report. <br /> <br />Section 4. Determines that the City should proceed with the <br />implementation of project 5-b if project 2-b is not implemented. <br /> <br />-4- <br /> <br /> <br />
